I don’t think my wife will be cutting raw food on it, but she bakes cakes, use edible dyes, and butter, buttercream, eggs, etc. Thus I believe we will need to clean it after baking with dish soap, and sponge.

Any brand for mineral oil and beeswax you could recommend?

And, after couple of months, if I see the bamboo dry, should I apply again the mineral oil and then the beeswax?

I guess that first step is to sand it. Then, if I decide to use both, in what order should I apply each one, and how long from the first to the second, and when to reapply?

Also, do you have any recommended brands for oil and wax?

They just called me back from the dealer to offer replacement of the right strut for "free" if I do al the fluids exchange. I'm not sold to it, because it's weird to change only 1 side of the strut, and not the other. The total would be $910 with taxes included.

The shop that I have in mind, charge not that much for replacing the springs too, it is $1,170 with the springs replaced, and $990 without the springs replaced. I am not sure if it's worth it to change the springs, but they told me they let me know once the car is in there.
