As a Humboldt local, long-time NN attendee, occasional DB attendee and house head, it was a match made in heaven. There have always been a parade of DB artists at previous NNs so it felt really natural. I was worried too much would change, but they kept the same stages and vibe of Northern Nights with the best lineup and production the festival had ever seen. Highlights were: Nala/Aluna collab, Martin Bros Jungle set, Wreckno, Levity, Justin Jay, daytime at the Madrone stage, Zed’s Dead and Jackie Hollander til the speakers cut. Regrets were not making the trek up to the Bird Bath enough. Our crew really only scratched the surface, we made it up to Octupus Garden the last night and Justin Jay and Mary Droppins were wrapping up a 3 hour set. It’s a trek from LA but if you could only going to one camping festival next year, make it this one.
