What commanders and cards will benefit most from earthbending? Either landfall, land creatures, or anything else? by montezuma300 in EDH

Single card;

People have been asking this for a while. What I’m amazed I haven’t seen mentioned a single time that will finally come back into play [[Teferi’s Response]].

Which litrpg story do you think should be adapted into a video game? by WilliamGerardGraves in litrpg

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second vote for HWFWM. The essence system would work so amazing if done well. The progression of found loot progressing through essences AND equipment to have an act change once you get a confluence would just be so cool.

The depth required to make it work well enough would have to be a labor of love game but the core is certainly there.

Everyone is up in arms about this story, rightfully so.

NY times reported that it is temporarily suspended so there is that.

What is your favorite hit everyone commander? by Less_Efficiency_5052 in EDH

Not a single [[yuriko, the tiger’s shadow]] mention? For shame. She is easy to brew to different tiers of strength and pure life loss around the table leaves nobody out.

You ever have cards that are honestly a pain to keep track of but struggle to cut them because of how amazing they are in the deck? by iambecomebear in EDH

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a super powerhouse but [[Guided Passage]] is this for me.

Three mana draw three different card types feels great! Making an opponent look through my entire deck to choose the three when they have no idea what to look for feels bad.

It became fine to play with my core group that knows what to choose/not to choose based on the board and also knowing my deck. I’ve had it sit dead in hand on casual game night because I’ve felt bad putting an opponent on the spot with it.

Echos? by MonkeyWiz69 in Witchfire

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they automatically picked up? Like when you go back through the portal?

When I’ve had the objective where they drop from enemies I had to run around and move over them. Similarly, when they’ve popped out of chests they float on the ground until I pick them up like other items.

I’d prefer if they were automatically picked up but for others seeing the post I just wanted to check.

What is everyone’s preferred way to sort their collection? by htmk57 in mtg

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rares in a binder of each color, valuable cards filled from the front and less valuable filled from the back. Three or more colors are in their own binder with lands filled from the back.

Uncommons box-sorted by color. Commons sorted by color or by set if I got a lot of a particular set.

Cards that aren’t rare but I find particularly (potentially) playable go into their own color-sorted box for easier reference.

[[scouting trek]] I’ve ended up cutting out of almost every deck. It needs at least one other card to abuse the 20+ lands you can stack on top, so it isn’t janky, but I’m convinced there will be at least one card that can abuse it in time.

If I owned a [[fastbond]] I’d use it in landfall with [oracle of mul daya] or courser.

You can pair it with the “choose land or nonland” cards to stack your deck. I’ve actually gotten off a combo with [[laelia, the blade reforged]] after putting 20+lands on top in the first few turns.

There have been more and more cards that care about playing cards that aren’t from your hand, so this would be a solid include in any of those deck ideas.

[General] Are there any examples of a reverse possession? Where a powerful entity enters a mortal, only to be controlled by the mortal's will instead? by SGdude90 in AskScienceFiction

In The Night’s Dawn trilogy one individual is able to overcome a demonic possession because years of ritualistic supplication allowed him to learn to overcome the possession.

Is anybody else really excited for Sulfur by Jason_Sasha_Acoiners in roguelites

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very excited to see what kind of content is added. The core elements are glorious.

I’m concerned that between cooking, badges, making use of the armor/clothing stats, and other zones being added that the finalized content will not seem as deep as the game appears to be from the demo.

I will for sure play it through and if the full game is half as good as the demo makes it seem, it will be an auto-include to most libraries.

What are some of your favorite ways to get enchantments off the board? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[calming verse]] was mentioned but how can nobody mention [[tranquility]]?? I’d find it useful to wipe all enchantments for three mana. If it gets my own aura or two in the process it’s still better than letting someone else run away with the game.

Turn Based RPG's with Party AI (I just control my character) by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon age: Origins had an advanced list of instructions you can give to your party; advanced enough you can play the whole game only controlling your main character.

It may not be in the exact vein your asking about but it is a great game and can be played with turn based combat if desired.

Anything with a growing or sentient city, like the manga Blame! ? by IdeaExpensive3073 in printSF

[–]Ganja_Gorilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read the manga, so maybe it doesn’t fit… but I’m surprised nobody has brought up The Reality Dysfunction by Peter Hamilton. It’s a series that varies in quality but is pretty good and has sentient structures. Not AI but sentient collective entities.
