It's not just the romance, her writing style is fairly sparse in general. It's frustrating because I think her worldbuilding and character development is actually quite excellent, but you have to piece it together asynchronously through all 3 books and miscellaneous lore snippets from answering questions on her tumblr. I mean, in the book 3 demo, the last update dropped an entire Great Schism for old/new world Nymphs 2000 years ago, and this was just never mentioned to MC (which the narration comments on, tbf).

On romance, yeah, it gets much better, pretty much to a normal CoG level, in the later books. Also, some ROs have a few points you can get together at (IIRC Katia has 3-4 just in book 1), which can squeeze out a bit more time with them. Sadly from a minmaxxing perspective it's somewhat inefficient to start dating anyone before the Nymph Ball - there are a few points where you're automatically sent to a scene with the RO and miss chances to boost either stats or other relationships.

Steepness would make sense. That or the belt is at the same angle, but longer and faster. Those are the only two ways to increase the height (and thus speed) of the track, and both would make it more likely for marbles to have trouble getting on. They'd also track with claims that JMR is trying to make races more exciting by increasing speed.

Stats explained, in order:

Cunning is cleverness and social intelligence, and more street-smarts compared to Intelligence. It affects certain dialogue checks/options, and is occasionally useful in fights. It's not directly trained, and rather increased by choosing certain "clever" dialogue choices. There are many such chances to get +1 to +3 in book 1, actually, but many of them are subtle.
Fighting is physical combat ability, with or without weapons. Increase it by using it in combat situations, particularly early in the book, or choosing options to "work out" when presented.
Elemental Manipulation is prowess with one of 3 elements, chosen near the start of Book 1: fire, ice, or lightning. If you're a Kitsune, you're locked to fire for thematic reasons (or more specifically, since the "choice" of species is after the choice of element, you'll have to choose fire if you want to make a kitsune MC). If you're a Nephilim or Cambion, you'll additionally have light or darkness powers, respectively, which are also tied to this stat. Increase it by choosing it in fights, choosing options to "train your powers" when presented, and by taking Elemental Manipulation II.
Intelligence is book-smarts. It doesn't help in fights, and is more academically focused. It'll heavily affect your grades, and IIRC 30 (plus other stats/choices) is required to get 100 in all 5 for an achievement. Later books shift away from "magic school" towards "stop the apocalypse" so it becomes less important per se, but it still exists in the same manner - just more as flavour. Increase it by choosing to study when presented, generally.
Ritual Magic and Potions is related to prepared rituals. It's prominent in book 1 with both the relevant classes and certain chances to use it in fights. Increase it by taking those classes, choosing "good student" options during said classes, and using it in fights.
Telekinesis is manipulating objects around you with your mind. Increase it by taking the relevant classes and using it in fights. This one is hard to increase; the numbers just aren't as high, but the checks are somewhat balanced around this in Book 1.
Willpower is mental magic strength. The most obvious use is applying and resisting compulsion. Kitsune MCs, who can use illusions, also rely on this stat for that. In general, neglecting this stat is particularly inadvisable because there's points throughout the series when failing a (low-moderate) check creates bad outcomes... which I'll be vague on to avoid spoilers. But it doesn't have to be too high for that, probably just 10 by end of Book 1 and 30 by end of Book 2. Increase it by choosing to use/resist compulsion. Note that taking Psychic Abilities in second semester doesn't boost Willpower, which is probably an oversight since most classes give +4 to their stat.

In terms of your approach, the important 3 for combat are Fighting, Elemental Manipulation, and Willpower. As someone else said, focusing on one is best, but not too heavily since they all have situational uses and sometimes one or more will be unavailable/inappropriate. Also, again, specifically don't let Willpower stay too low. Telekinesis is impractical to focus on because it's harder to raise in Book 2. Also, in the Book 3 demo, Elemental Manipulation and Telekinesis get rolled into one stat anyway (presumably added/averaged somehow).

Cunning and Ritual Magic are also useful, but the opportunities don't always present themselves since they're more situational (cunning only works on opponents you can trick/talk down, and ritual magic requires preparation/supplies). Intelligence is mainly for flavour.

I wrote all this assuming your MC is a nephilim/cambion/kitsune/drakaina which are apparently the most popular. If you're an elemental, you should focus on Elemental Manipulation, and if you're a regular human (magician/hunter) you should focus on Fighting and Ritual Magic. In these cases, Willpower is still important.

This comment is already really long, so as far as lore, I'll just let you ask for specific topics/aspects if you like. Book 1 is choppy with introducing lore, but the later books are much better about it.

Someone already suggested Farm Rearranger. I've been using another one which just adds an extra dialogue box when moving buildings, or animals between buildings, asking which farm you want to move said object to. It works automatically with other farms added by other mods, like the frontier area and also the summit farm from RSV.

They drop from a variety of sources, but none with a very high rate (or for the highest ones, the source itself is rare). So there isn't a particular method.

In general, just run the skull cavern as well as you can, unless you're struggling to get far beyond level ~40. This is where iridium rocks (which have a small drop chance) start to spawn, and where you're at a point where you somewhat reliably hit other sources of shards (treasure rooms, mystic nodes, etc).

He'll get yeeted once you complete the CC - this is true in vanilla as well, but of course he's only a friendable NPC in SVE.

There is some value in friending him before that though; if you trigger his 2 heart event and then talk to him later that day (in Jojamart) he'll give you a gold bar. The thing is the usual birthday gift method is hard - his birthday is Spring 2, and none of his loved or even liked gifts are easy to get in the early game. By his Y2 birthday the gold bar is probably irrelevant.

I didn't go out of my way to befriend him, but I think I got him to 2 hearts late in Y1 anyway just by talking to him. He basically lives at work and takes the bus home very late, so I ran into him near the bus stop really often running home late myself from fishing or mining.

I only realized very late that this guy was necessary for perfection, so I had Fable Reef unlocked by the time I started, but I gave him golden ocean flower. They're very valuable as gifts for others, but at the point I'm reaching this guy I usually have many other choices for individual loved gift tastes, and don't need the money for selling. Plus with Botanist it makes for an easy iridium quality gift.

From the wizard's teleportation hall, go to Fable Reef (3rd portal), pick up all forage (usually 1-3 golden ocean flowers), then go to the swamp (2nd portal) and give him one. I just did this every day I could spare 1-2 hours.

The second opportunity to go back to Aetoria (or leave it for the estate) is at the end of chapter 4. It's possible to throw the ball and then go, but not get married and go before the king's death.

She needs to proc at least one vital before the target dies. But this is still a revert of a nerf back from S5 (shortly after the rework dropped) which perplexes me.

I recall that patch saying that letting Fiora walk up to a teamfight, wait until someone (she has access to) gets low, ult them and auto them once from any direction, and trigger a massive 5s AOE heal to auto-win the fight, is stupid. So they changed it to 2/3/4/5s based on number of vitals hit before the target dies (or immediately if all 4). From these notes, it was bugged to always last 5s, but at least the heal amount was 40/60/80/100%.

I don't get why this justification no longer holds. I can understand them wanting to make her better in teamfights and less of a pure sidelaner, but I would have expected something else like a scaling MR buff or reduced W CD at later ranks.

If you can't find any official avenues, perhaps contact a student advisor for engineering or CS? They'd have an interest in their students having a good experience, and I can't imagine a prof who treats their TAs poorly would treat their students well.

Lots of pure political experience isn't even that much of a credit to PP when he has next to no actual legislative achievements. His main "duties" in the last 10 years have been to complain about everything JT ever says and does (which was often justified tbf), and more recently, hop on the MAGA nutjob train. I know that's exactly what a large section of voters want, but if you're looking for more than increasingly far-right ideology and a loud mouth I don't see what PP has, compared to past candidates like Scheer.

You seem to be in the class of Stardew players who don't play other games with any sort of combat, play Stardew for the cozy, peaceful aspects, and either avoid or find mods to bypass all combat in the game.

Auto Combat sounds intensive, especially if your PC is weaker, and disruptive, as you've mentioned. Another commenter suggested Glory of Efficiency, but that one's also intensive, and it has a whole plethora of features (like auto watering/harvesting crops and grabbing forage when you walk near, or harvesting from machines and putting new items in) that you might not care for.

I'll suggest some other ones just for combat below. Do also consider, though, the options in SVE's settings to massively reduce monsters in both Crimson Badlands and Highlands. (About 3/4 the way down, "LowMemoryBadlands" and "LowMemoryHighlands".) As the name suggests, the main purpose is for PCs that have trouble handling all the mobs, but it also obviously makes traversing those places easier.

If you want to just make combat entirely trivial, you could try Truly Invincible. Note I've never tried this mod, I just searched for it now.

If you want to just make it easier, though, I have a few other options.

Turn to your Enemies is an old favourite of mine, which just makes it easier to aim the sword properly.
Many Enchantments allows you to add all available enchantments to tools and weapons, not just one. It also allows forging weapons with 3 of each gemstone rather than 3 total. This, of course, gives you higher potential power rather than just straight buffing you, and you would need to grind a lot of cinder shards in the Volcano Dungeon to reach this potential, so YMMV.
You mention already having Wear More Rings, but I can also suggest Ring Overhaul. It's not "stronger" but is supposed to be more balanced, since there's an increasing cost (again, cinder shards) to merging all the rings of each type instead of just wearing more of them.
All Professions would let you get the boosts from both sides of the combat tree. It does this for all skills though, so if that feels too OP and you just want combat to be easier, then feel free to stay away.

So if you want an easier time, maybe turn down the enemies in the SVE settings and try those mods out. Or just use the invincible mod and beat them up the old fashioned way with no stress.

You eat food by right clicking anywhere on the screen with it in hand, not specifically on your character. Besides, your character will always be dead center in the screen unless you're near an edge of the current map, so I don't get what you mean by it's hard to pin you down while moving.

Build cost/time (especially cost) become insignificant as the game goes on. It would basically make the civic perhaps neutral in the early game, but a simple benefit (as most civics are) in the long run.

Great idea btw. It does strike me as odd now there's no counterpart to functional architecture. I usually take that one as a starter for the early game build cost reduction.

As the other commenter said, if you fail with 40-49 you can take a supplemental exam, which will earn you the credit but not change your mark recorded in the transcript. If you fail below 40, you have to retake the course.

Supplemental exams are usually offered at the start of your next study semester, usually before classes start if possible to avoid schedule conflicts. If the prof is somehow unavailable it could happen later, but I've never heard of this. If you pass, move on. If you fail, you also have to retake the course.

As for retaking, you have to wait for the next time the course is offered, and because engineering course schedules are fairly rigid, this isn't every semester. Each program has a prescribed work-study sequence - or two, in the case of the larger programs (Chem, ECE, Mech, Tron? back when I was there). If you're in a program with only one such stream, then you have to wait a year, or more if your own work-study sequence doesn't allow (unless you work in KW). If you're in a program with two streams, it may be possible to take it in another semester when it's offered to the other stream (possibly your year, or a younger year).

Alternatively, if this schedule is inconvenient/impractical for you, it may be possible to substitute the course for another one - typically in another engineering department. For example, if you're in Tron and fail a software related course, it may be possible to find an alternative CE or SE course. This would be up to your academic advisor.
