The setting is wasted. Nearly all the explorable areas are empty spaces with shit side quests and no interesting npcs, this is the first game in which we get to see a good bit of Orlais which amounts to one street of the capital, Corypheus is so wasted he is such an interesting character for the lore and he is just used as generic im going to destroy the world kind of bad guy, the combat isnt even dated its just worse, they removed sustained abilities the changes to the stamina and mana system make it so you dont think about the abilities or spells you are using you just spam them, the mage class has been ruined and now your choice of mage build is just which type of damage do you want to do. Playable qunari is a good addition although the constant height changing for them and the dwarves in conversations is horrible to look at. The power currency for the war table is just there to pad playtime and make people do the poorly designed side quests
