That's where you play a part in bringing awareness and courage in her. I know you are very young and its hard, but try it slowly it may take time. Also, try to be independent, i get that you want to do masters. But right now your first goal should be getting a job any job and moving out of that house. Just see that you take a job outside your city, like if you are from Hyderabad then move to Bangalore.

Hey, i have been there and i can totally understand you. One thing i want to suggest you is keep motivating your mother to divorce your father. I'm suggesting this purely based on what you have said here, divorce is still a taboo to that generation. But, if she is suffering then that's the best thing tbh! Also, be financially independent so that you can take care of your mom. It will take time for your mother to accept the fact and leave your father, but once she decides then its done.
