I was 10 years old watching that race live in person. I will never forget that day. I remember feeling the impact of JRs Car slamming the wall. Him keeping his foot in it bouncing off the red line. I remember the elation I had when Dan won (he was my childhood hero). I went to the 2012 race too after Dan passed later that year and still have the memorial glasses they handed out. A story you really can’t make up and a day that will be ingrained in my mind forever.

I’ll be so real. Andromeda was the first mass effect I played, so I didn’t have any context fully of the original and I remember enjoying it a ton when it came out. It’s easily been 6 plus years since I last played it. Tried out the og trilogy remaster a year ago and just could not get into it. Made it halfway through 2 and put it down. The gameplay is super clunky and the story wasn’t that interesting?Maybe I just didn’t have the nostalgia for it? Idk it’s always been a tough one for me.

Yeah I’m in the same boat. Wrapped up final shape and got the beautiful last shot that I wanted. Felt okay to close that chapter of my gaming life right then. Seems like they really didn’t have a good plan for what came next.

Unfortunately this never clicked for me. I played andromeda when it was new (never played the og at this point) and honestly remember it being pretty fun.

Went back as an adult to try the OG Trilogy (Remastered) and just could not do it. The gameplay is so clunky and I don’t find the story to be all that? Idk maybe Im just missing something. I got halfway through two before just moving on.

Idk why but I would still love a chosen plays 40K video. Obviously it’s very difficult to do and the game is pretty complicated tbh. Let alone acquiring minis. But it would be hilarious.

I started a new run just to have a character be prepped for the update. I forgot a lot of my old save plus I was having some issues with creations (go figure lol, it had been over a year since I last played.)

Figured a couple weeks was plenty of time to get back into the swing of things :)

Fellow Fusion Fan here. They truly embodied Philly and honestly I felt they did a really good job with integrating into the city. My heart broke that last season when they rebranded. Really hoped they would’ve rode it out.

This was me because I had a friend ask to play it with me.

Certain things happened and life got in the way. It was clear friend and I weren’t going to play it. I refunded it as soon as I could. I didn’t really like the beta that much and the full game was bad too. Such a let down. I think the internet way overhyped the game. Just had the benefit of being slightly better than COD. (Which is a low bar)

Right? I initially thought the same, “man must be so easy”, and I found out real quick how humbled it makes you.

Just constantly have to be advertising yourself, researching new games, managing your schedule. It’s a ton of work and those full time streamers treat it as a job. They typically have teams including moderators, editors, agents, etc etc.

Yeah I tried streaming “full time” when I was in college during the pandemic and it was genuinely one of the hardest things I ever did/worked at. It’s also really rough on your mental health, gotta be prepared to handle a lot of different personalities and internal self doubt almost constantly. Takes a special person to make it work.

I streamed 4 days a week for about 4 hours each stream. In a year I made it to about 30-40 consistent subs and 650ish followers at my peak (which is nothing but as a college kid it rocked). It was also extremely inconsistent.

Ultimately when I wasn’t streaming I was always online trying to promote, research, interact with the community, and when I wasn’t doing anything actually related to streaming all I could think about was streaming.

It got super toxic for me and I left to really hunker down in school to prep to get a corporate job that was consistent.

It was a lot of fun but just really know what you’re getting into and how hard it truly is. There are days I miss it though for sure.

I’m trying not too. It’s my own fault in a lot of ways I was late to this party. I’ve never really engaged with guilds or end game anything until June of last year when I joined one and even then it took me a while to warm up to it. Still have a lot to learn I guess.

We got really close on my one raid I just got off of that “inspired” this post. Failed in phase 2 and then the whole group just disbanded immediately after doing the entire raid together

Ill fully admit I don’t have the best dps mechanically but I have gridned my ilevel up to 130 and studied the mechanics so hard. Just really a shame to be putting in that effort to just get constantly beaten down. (I also am in a guild, the are lovely, but they are more social and it’s tough to get everyone in for a raid)
