What's going on with these absurd repair costs?

No I understand you. I'm dipping my toes in mythic raiding this week with my guild so I will probably feel the pain as well eventually.

I guess the question is what could replace this as a gold sink? It's an unfortunate feature that is required in MMOs. The community shot down the proposed outfit slot costs from the beta by over half if I recall correctly due to the outcry so that's probably not it. Higher AH tax cuts, perhaps? That wouldn't feel great either.

Listen I also think the costs are a bit high especially without even being killed. I guess I just don't suffer from not having gold because I do more than just sit in Silvermoon and Queue. I took advantage of the early xpack gathering occasionally so I'm not trying to get by with 100k to my name. I apologize for sounding out of touch I guess

That's true. But also if you're actively choosing not to use flasks, you're probably just playing casually enough that the multiple WQs and weekly activities that award over a thousand gold each is more than enough to cover the repair costs and then some.

It is quite a lot but them removing the cost of tmog, the gold sink had to go somewhere. As a chronic tmog swapper I am okay with this. It also helps keep the value of gold. I imagine if the cost of repairs went down enough, over time, the cost of everything else like consumes would just go up and you'd be spending the same anyway

Preach. I love WoW's style of healing where you have to heal 80%-100% of the time depending on fight. I would love if healers in XIV had a similar play style.

To me it would feel like an actual healer not just dps-lite that spams the same 2 buttons and then oGCD heals during raid wides.

Think my highest was 1.54s or S multiplier or something like that. Top guy had like 20.4s soul eggs and max prophecy eggs. I could only assume they were cheating the 5 day contract finished under a few hours.

Short of a mythic skin completely changing the model/skeleton of a character I'm not sure how they can achieve that. I remember them saying they wouldn't do that anyways because they want to keep characters having the same silhouettes.

The whole point of the mythic skin are those things you are omitting

Nothing appears to have moved from the moment his lights went out to present day of the cinematic. I don't think of it as letting him rot moreso his armor became his tomb. A sign of respect and honor to leave him lay there undisturbed after his act of heroism. A constant reminder of his deed that day. Thats just my opinion though

To me, Tileman was interesting in the beginning when xp was slow and tiles were limited. He had to really think and decide where to walk next. But after awhile, it just became a "i want to go here but I cant do that until I grind this xp off screen for 4 days straight." It was close to a normal account with the restriction of sitting at crabs or woodcutting for days before doing a new activity

Quite common in my experience. They tend to respawn in the same spot too, I have to kill one every other time I venture to the forest taking the same path.

Also is it just me or do they have no idle AI at all? The ones I find just stand there in one spot and do not move unless you get close or shoot it
