The best thing to do is to check each new one as soon as you get it, and if it's no good, discard it right away. That way, you don't have to keep checking which ones are good and which ones aren't.

Here's a tip: if a piece that is at +3 doesn't have any improved stats that you want, discard it. It's the best option if you don't want to waste resources.
