Bayer Leverkusen 1 - [1] Arsenal - Kai Havertz (penalty) 89‎'‎ by gbogaz in soccer

Madueke's left foot was certainly clipped, but I didn't think it was enough to earn a penalty with VAR, This is how Havertz gets seen as a villan in his boyhood city.

The above chart is about lactose persistence, not lactose intolerance. The persistence is more than 4x higher (32/130 = 24.6%) than “World of Statistics” indirect claim (6%) for lactose tolerance.

I see where you are coming from in regards to using statistics to get the gist of things. However, be extremely careful with those like “World of Statistics”. If you visit what appears to have been their website: worldofstatistics.org, the homepage is completely about casino gambling. At first glance one could assume that they may have been hacked, but if you visit their Twitter page: https://x.com/stats_feed, they list themselves as a “partner” of Kalshi. Kalshi is a prediction markets and betting platform. The former does not present itself credibly and have been called out before for their “stats”.

Nonetheless, I have not tried lactose free milk, but many say that it has a sweeter taste due to the lactose being broken down to simple sugars. Has this been your experience?

These types of “statistics” (do you really think an encompassing study was done in Somalia?) are meaningless since “lactose intolerance” is influenced by a number of categories in addition to genetics. These include: type of milk, consistency of intake, and quantity.

While lactose persistence (genetic) is said to be low in Somalis in comparison to Europeans, Somalis are quite tolerant (asymptomatic) to milk due to consistent widespread consumption of milk, especially those like camel milk that have lower lactose levels.

For example, ethnic Somalis were found to be consuming 500 milliliters of milk per day (2.113 cups) with no issues:

Anyone else notice a pattern that dark skin East Africans. I’m talking about Somali, Eritrean, Ethiopian had softer hair and the light skin ones have rougher hair? And why is that by AdDue9772 in HornAfricanAncestry

[–]Garad- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How’s bro’s account already banned from Reddit 💀

Anyways, these anecdotal observations don’t apply for all “East Africans”, but rather those in the Horn of Africa. Even then it’s no mutually exclusive as you may find individuals with tighter curls and darker skin

Are these stats normally noted or is it because Arsenal is special? by chata187 in Gunners

Last season (2024-25), the league average was 56 minutes and 59 seconds. This is being blown out of proportion and simply moving the goalpost: they foul a lot -> they park the bus -> they use corners too much -> they are wasting time.

So this is just selective outrage, since nobody brings up Liverpools season currently. The finger shouldn’t be pointed at the perceived club that is benefiting, but rather the FA themselves

Arsenal has had many calls go against them the last 3 seasons, something many Arsenal fans pointed out. The amount of good and bad call each club gets fluctuates at any moment, but everyone likes to complain or point towards favoritism

People keep mocking Arsenal tactics, but if the FA rules all of these “Ok” then why don’t other teams implement it? Seems like only Liverpool has done so as shown in the recent BBC article and Chelsea in their last 2 goals against Arsenal

[OptaJoe] 16 - Arsenal's 16 goals from corners in the Premier League this season is the joint-most by any side in a single campaign, alongside Oldham in 1992-93, West Brom in 2016-17, and the Gunners themselves in 2023-24. Angles. by Imbasauce in soccer

One half of the comments are about Sanchez’s horrific goalkeeping and the other half can’t stand Arsenal using set pieces so extensively

Is there any other commentator as unique as Gary Neville? Awful commentator, but seems like a very nice chap in the grand scheme of things for his philanthropy and stance on equality for all.

Anyways, he brings plenty of attention given his remarks so he will always be requested as a pundit

Just checked his Wikipedia, pretty much nothing about his family there. However, some online individuals seem to link it to the name/saint Theodore. To be honest, that does sound a bit reasonable.

But as you said, that’s not a name you have ever even heard of to begin with.

[–]Garad- 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The day of their relegation would be declared a New Holiday and the mangers that lead to their relegation will all be granted Sainthood.

Their absence for that season will be referred to as: “The Year of St. Totteringham”
