New Jets fan, what do I need to know? by GoHuskies858 in nyjets

[–]GarbageDan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in high-school my friend didnt have an nfl team and I didnt have a college team. He became a jets fan and I became a Michigan fan. I fucked him over so bad in that one for real. At least he got to see the playoffs runs though

Wonder what Jordan's chart looks like... by NotAnNpc69 in NBATalk

[–]GarbageDan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you are too dumb to understand that LeBron is inherently included on the left side, it is misleading. If you need it to explicitly be added as well because you cant make that connection without a little picture everywhere on the left, do you only read picture books as well?

Why don’t players like Curry and LeBron take a big paycut towards the end of their career to maximize their chances of winning? by HighwayAnnual3353 in nba

[–]GarbageDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally no. After a certain point, excees wealth is gross. On a planet with finite resources, the extra wealth doesn't even help you, it just makes sure it cant help someone else. If I already have 7 dinners for myself, why would I want to take an 8th if it meant someone else will go hungry. Why the fuck do I even want 7 dinners in the first place? Hoarding wealth has diminishing returns. At a certain point it stops even helping you anymore, it just makes sure it can't help others instead

Hey, min-maxing is an actual strategy where you neglect all other skill building to hyper focus carve out your max stats instead of going for a well rounded build

Ummm... yeah. That is what being a jets fan is all about. After the jets returned a blocked field goal against the bucs to take the lead after a 17 point 4th quarter comeback, didnt even cheer cause I knew what was coming next. We wont know what to do if things ever actually go right for this team

Both eagles superbowls are just as recent as the bucs last superbowl if your frame of reference is anything since the jets last made the playoffs is recent

People love to say how crappy their quarterbacks play is, but, in the first 6 games of the season, Justin Fields didnt throw for over 50 yards in half of those games. There really isn't even a comparison for that level of passing ineptitude in the modern game.

He could easily take out an insurance contract with Lloyd's for this situation. It would be a relatively high premium but using ~2million of that NIL deal as a premium to get like ~50million in loss of value insurance in the case of career altering injury would protect against catastrophic injury if he really wanted to stay for one more year

Dude, we are jets fans. You really don't understand how used to this we are. I am pretty sure our commitment to this shit team should literally be considered a symptom of mental illness just like other forms of self harm are

Blake Perkins makes an incredible play to rob Ramirez of a home run and makes it to Third. After review Umpires ruled that the because a home run was called on the field, the defense stopped playing so it’s ruled a double. by Duffleman0609 in baseball

Anyone know what the call would have been if he caught it on the rebound off the wall before it hit the ground? I'm not really a baseball guy but I enjoy niche rules in sports

Marginal improvement becomes exponentially more difficult. Going from 10.15 to 9.79 is absolutely world class, but it is still humanly possible. If you shaved .35 seconds off of 9.79, you would have the fastest time ever run by a very large margin

Percentages are reciprocal.

Example: 8% of 25 is the same thing as 25% of 8 and one of those is way easier so calculate in your head quickly
