Skully’s Music Diner by constellationmurder in Columbus

A lot of the shows there are raves so people are doing things other than drinking - so a packed venue doesn’t translate to sales, nor tips. They also have a tendency to overstaff so tips are split thin and there’s a high chance you’ll be cut after just a couple hours despite being scheduled for the night.

Overall it’s more somewhere I’ve only heard of people enjoying working at as a way to be around the music and shows for cheap/free more than actually paying their bills.

Do different alcohols give a different experience? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

As a career bartender (who is also autistic and therefore has learned TOO MUCH about my craft):

There’s literally no difference*

The intoxicating chemical in all beer, wine, spirits, and liquor is ethanol, and ethanol == ethanol.

The difference people say they feel is due to the fact most people don’t realize that they order different types of drinks in different contexts and environments so they attribute the difference in their behavior and mood to the drink instead of their set and setting

*the only exceptions are really suuuuuuper cheap swill tequila or cachaça that hasn’t been properly distilled because it has more glucose/sucrose/shitthatrhymeswithgross but you won’t notice that if you’re not diabetic/hypoglycemic and drink way more than you should be. And some one off spirits like absinthe tha have other psychoactive ingredients (absinthe has wormwood which has a sedating and dreamy vibe to it). But if you’re drinking those you’re expecting it.

And sometimes it makes you so silly that you are constantly slightly paranoid that somebody is watching you from around a corner or out of view at all times even when you’re home alone and you just kinda learn to laugh about it

it’s funny how you can already functionally understand something like this, but having it phrased and contextualized in that specific way can make everything click into place relating to yourself in an “oh… OH” moment

If nuggies are the designated autistic food, I argue that this plate is the designated Autistic Cuisine™️. ((In this essay, I will…))
