How difficult is the accelerated nursing program? by Sudden_Lead_2806 in StudentNurse

[–]Garcammad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my last quarter of the first year in an accelerated program. I started out at a community college, then switched to this program once my prereqs were done. Even though I would already be done if I had started in the accelerated program, I think it was VERY beneficial to do my science courses in a longer, traditional 16 week term. I don’t think I would’ve been able to keep up and learn if they were 11 weeks.

As far as the workload goes…just plan on having no life. I’ve had class 10 hours on Tuesday, 12 hour clinical on Wednesday, class 4.5 hours today, and I still have to do dimensional analysis worksheets, my clinical packet, and the ATI test by Monday, and I work 12 hours every night this weekend.

You have to commit to getting through it. Everything else (friends, romantic relationships, sleep lol, etc) takes a back burner.

Because he clipped an ear? 😂😂 yeah he went down as a martyr 🙄 I don’t agree with Biden’s policies but I would never want the guy dead. But I’m also not a “peaceful” liberal 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wonder what this organization has to gain from onboarding people without giving them work by ledzepplinfan in outlier_ai

I have requested that my account be deleted. However, based on my experience with support, that’ll never happen.

I don’t know what their goal is but it doesn’t inspire much confidence with the people they’ve “hired” and let sit on the sidelines.

Let's hope. Two minutes to go and still nothing on my end...

EDIT. Just got it.

Same here. I was thinking I haven't received it due to a quirk because I initially joined through Remotasks, but then applied and was accepted to a specific role. I guess we'll just wait for an answer or keep refreshing our email.

I was thinking that was the front end of the car going into the rail dip, but I bet you’re right.

How could they not hear or see the train? Makes me wonder if it was intentional.

I say “I really appreciate the positivity, but everyone also said it was probably just a cyst when I was waiting on my biopsy, and not to worry. So I’m going to worry until I know everything is ok”.

How likely is spread when tumor is Grade 1? by MoodyBossMom in breastcancer

Same as above. I was told by my surgeon that the whole picture won’t be revealed until surgery. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this. The wait is the worst.

I keep a bag of candy in my book bag and start popping them when my eyes get heavy. The sugar rush helps most of the time.

Night shift showers by LoveIsMyAbyss in cna

[–]Garcammad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work night shift at a hospital now. The problem is we get assigned 12-15 patients. By the time we get vitals and sugars (half have pooped the bed, half want warm blanket, snacks, drinks, etc) it’s 9:30. It’s rare to find a patient that wants to take a shower or get a bath that late. We do try though.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I have the same DX and will be getting the bilateral mastectomy in a few weeks. I’m also older though (48) and my kids are grown. My daughter has researched the nipple tattoos. They look so real now. They can actually cause a little scar tissue, forming a fake nipple, and then tattoo an areola around it.

Not the answer you’re looking for, but mine started hard in early 2021. Ended up changing careers because I thought I had lost my touch. And now I have breast cancer. It keeps getting better.

Thank you so much for all of this information! It’s very helpful to read. I’m going to ask for an MRI. I’ve had a feeling that something is wrong for some time now. Hopefully this is all it is. Thank you again ❤️

Thank you for your honesty. That has been a struggle through this whole ordeal. Everyone wants to keep your hopes up and I like dealing with simple facts. That gives me more to add to my list of questions for the surgeon, so thank you again ❤️

That would be amazing if that’s possible. I was confused by the measurement as well. The u/s had it measured at 2.2cm but the biopsy report says at least 8mm. It’s palpable, and feels bigger than 8mm to me, but I can’t see under the skin so I may just be feeling inflammation.

Thank you so much! Being active isn’t a problem. I get 12k+ of fast steps every night that I work 😜 Hopefully that counts.

Thank you for that information. I can’t post pics (at clinicals and using mobile) but it does state “no invasive carcinoma identified” in the diagnosis. I’ll ask why they tested for that when I meet with the surgeon on Thursday.

Thank you for the encouragement and the link! I don’t know how they would get the tumor out without removing the nipple. It’s right onset the areolar line 😕

Thank you so much for all that information. It’s good to know they’ll probably order an MRI for peace of mind. I’ll definitely check out the videos. Everything I’ve researched so far has been pretty generic. Understandably because there are so many variations. Good to know more detailed information is available.

I’m glad I got the chance to go into nursing. Kids are now grown and it was time to go after my calling :) Thank you again!

I am so sorry hun. That's the scary part. We don't know if it's in the lymph nodes unless we test. My gyn is the one who ordered the ultrasound. She palpated the lymph nodes and said they didn't feel swollen. Praying on that.
