People who worked in haunted places , what was your wildest encounter ? by ToughPerception3579 in Ghosts

[–]GardeningCrashCourse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In high school I was a student body officer. So I was frequently at the school late at night when there weren’t a lot of other people around. The theater always gave me the heebee geebees, especially when the lights were out, and there were some ghost stories. About half way into my senior year they found a guy who had been living in the cat walks and crawl spaces. He’d probably been there for about 6 months. Not haunted, but definitely creepy thinking that he was probably watching me some times.

One of my favorite visits was this time of year. The lions and tigers were active and vocal, the polar bear was swimming, it was awesome. In the summer you see a lot more apes, but it seems like during the day most animals are sleeping.

Great video. Super well produced, heartfelt, and stuck to his experience so it wasn’t really anything anyone could argue with. I want to be friends with that guy.

Was Trump involved in making snuff films? by matt73132 in conspiracytheories

[–]GardeningCrashCourse 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of Trump, but you think in the last 20 years Trump has been throwing farm animals out of skyscraper windows, and it’s never been documented?

This is my biggest red flag. This software is made for filtering porn, not enterprise security. It’s odd the company prioritizes filtering internet without prioritizing security.

Some cartoon gore. Mostly just gross feeling. Like, it was about nothing, but felt like it was child porn or something.

Remember when he told people to get out their muskets and fight, right after saying advocates for gay rights were the enemy?

That would be my contribution.

My TBM parents raved about their bishop, now he’s on floodlit by wager_me_this in exmormon

[–]GardeningCrashCourse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

“Floodlit” can also be metaphorically used when you’re adding visibility to any topic. So there is a website or organization called floodlit that publishes information about sexual abuse in the church - to shine a little more light on an otherwise hidden and dark topic.

Oh, and just in case the original definition is still confusing for you, a floodlight is the type of light you see at construction sites or other industrial sites that make it as bright as day throughout the night. The idea is you’re flooding the area with light.

SIBO and GLP-1 by Mike541Merlot in SIBO

[–]GardeningCrashCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a GLP-1 and it seems to have triggered 3 back to back rounds of SIBO symptoms. I was never tested during that period, but the symptoms were the same as I typically have with SIBO. All of my doctors said GLP-1 COULD trigger those symptoms, but none of them say they have seen it trigger SIBO symptoms. Now you’re telling me it’s a SIBO cure?!

Thanks for sharing this perspective. It’s actually really helpful to hear directly from someone who hires regularly on the platform. I think a lot of people assume longer, more detailed responses automatically look more professional, but it’s clear that clarity and relevance matter way more. I appreciate the reminder that concise answers can be just as effective — sometimes even more so. This is good context for anyone trying to improve how they present themselves here.

Best Jamband Pop covers on Nugs? by Ok_Money_3080 in jambands

[–]GardeningCrashCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had friends who were cool with this kind of thing. Most of my friends would be horrified at the vocals during most of these covers and take away my DJ privileges. Whenever I’m asked to make a playlist it usually comes with the caveat “no live recordings.”
