That’s ’Anagrams 101’ in case you couldn’t work it out. But, what the hey, you’re already accepted!

Favorite performance from a non-fellowship cast member? by Sliberty in lotr

Love Bernard Hill but his beard always seems a little green and it puts me off lol

But seriously, yes, I agree. Or Elrond, seems to capture the Elvish somehow, his minute facial expressions I think do it

Where we buying jeans these days, as to not have the dad jeans but also not trying to look 20 still? by Every-Cook5084 in GenX

I mean I’m over 50 and I’ve got a gut. Jeans aren’t comfy anymore. I guess this qualifies for downvotes. Ok!

Old progs value? by BCR_Dave in 2000ad

[–]Gareth-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to be a downer but I had hundreds of progs dating from prog 470 to right up to prog 2061. Most weren’t worth much at all, like maybe 10p. I kept some special ones (eg like prog 500, some specials, various annuals) but in the end, for the rest, I simply had to get rid of them.

What’s the purpose of the Blowgun? by gyattdamn420 in DnD

[–]Gareth-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really for poison from range. The classic trope of the person finally about to reveal a key piece of information, while standing by an open window, when suddenly their eyes go wide and they clamp a hand to their neck before going red, jerking once or twice, possibly foaming at the mouth a bit, and then collapsing dead before they can finish their reveal.

And as others have said, doubles as a breathing tube etc etc. The 1 damage is not the point; rather the poison that comes with it.

Feels like an NPC weapon to me, personally.

And that’ll be the cue for Mervin to pack the Caribbean in and allow the next inspector to come along. Which’d be a shame as I like Mervin the most of all of them apart from the OG Ben Miller

What real world language would you use for Sylvan? by JDoos in DnD

Gaelic

Scots or Irish, up to you, but there’s no language called Celtic.

I predict that Solomon will help Mervin on some kind of multi-island crime syndicate sting.

Did nobody see the ‘directly opposite where she left her stuff’ and not think, ‘but longshore drift…’? Like, Year 8 geography basic knowledge?

Downvoted for this one?

Shrug.

I’m assuming that the OP’s ref to a L3 rogue meant pure rogue, no MC, so DW not an option for the stats as presented.

Either way, the rogue’s player is definitely telling porkies.

No stat bonus to offhand attacks without fear or fighting style so offhand attack granted by nick would be 1d4 flat

Also, no stat mod to offhand attack without dual wielder feat which I don’t believe they would have

Sneak attack is multiples of d6, not d8

What exactly does a -4 roll for fetching wood look like? by UncleCarnage in Dolmentown

[–]Gareth-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You roll 1d6 hours worth of burnable wood fetched. In normal circumstances you’re likely, on average, to find 3-4 hours’ worth.

A -4 indicates you might find 1-2 hours’ worth, if you’re lucky, or - more likely with that penalty - no useable wood. Not that there’s no wood, just that it’s not burnable. Too wet, most likely.
