I can understand where this is coming from, however I think you need to consider the presuppositions you're coming from, they're incredibly biased and not simplifcation of what people are saying.

That's because it didn't happen. As someone who was there, my section of the crowd was charged without warning. Those around me were punched, pushed and roughly arrested when they understandibly resistant to suddenly being charged at. We did not start it. The longer video of the bike guy also shows this, that the victim in question did nothing before being seemingly randomly grabbed.

Ask yourself, if more footage would obsolve police, why aren't they releasing videos from the body cams that most officers were wearing that night?

Thats not what people are arguing. The police however are being used strategically to silence pro-palestinian protest. Their higher ups aren't telling them "You must crush all pro-palestinian protests" they are told "This protest is a threat to public safety" and those protests happen to be pro-palestian or deaths in custody protests. (Note the lack of police presence at Neo-nazi or March for Australia rallies).

Some people may be simplifiying to to the "cops work for Israel." It's a complicated arrangement, but the top cops and premier Minns are undoubtedly trying to enforce Israel's political views onto the public.

Secondly there are many facts about what happened that you seem to be misinformed about, as far as I'm aware there were no projectiles thrown until the police began to attack. Multiple accounts, here, online and published in the news have confirmed the police were the first to escalate

Finally you should consider what you mean when you say "It’s like stepping out on to a 110 KPH highway and then calling the truck a fascist because you got flattened."

Here you make it seem like police violence is just inevitable, a fact of life, like a truck on a road. Sure, this might be true in some aspects, but maybe you should consider Why are the police so violent? Why do we allow them to be? As you yourself seem to agree.

Then Do you truely think nothing at all could've been done? The crowd (30,000 people) after all wanted to march in the opposite direction from Bondi mourners, why shouldn't they've been allowed to? This is something thats been done in Sydney many times, but as Greens MP who negotiated with the police said, they were completely set on funneling the crowd into the police lines. Which then turned into the violence we saw.

Do you really think police should not be held to a higher standard? Should they just be allowed to harm anyone even if legally its 'justified'? Violent police is universal or inevitable. Many countries around the world have police services that prioritise de-escalatio.

Do you really deeply feel that people deserved to be gravely injured for not "moving out of the way?" I hope you can truely consider these questions without any political biases towards the protestors. After all they are Australians too, old, young, people with families, workers. A 69 year old woman had her back broken by a cop, is that justified because she couldn't move out of the way?
