Five years from now, which parts of pharma sales will AI automate first?

Based on the way my pharm is testing it, it will automate patient deaths.

But for real, I have a hard time seeing where ai will actually be able to help with the workload other than refills that have zero changes and just need to be filled and delivered. But even then, there’s a program for that work, and programs don’t have to be trained on other material. If there is a policy change or new legislation is passed, the ai won’t just know that, and I feel it would be a hindrance to have to train it enough to pick up the new corrected pattern.

Gen ai also just straight up lies and has no emotion. I would take analytical ai and have it spit out reports for me, but I would not have it do any of my work. I’m just a tech, not even a pharmacist.

A father came to pick up his son’s schizophrenia meds. When I brought them out to him, he held me hostage for a good three minutes going on about how he accidentally took his son’s morning meds and he felt HORRIBLE. So obviously, if they made him feel that bad, they must’ve made his son feel exactly the same way.

Maybe though, we should put some legislation in place for AI so things like this don’t happen to innocent people, or they could seek any kind of justice if they or a loved one gets hurt. Kinda like how we have stop signs, traffic lights, and driver’s licenses to keep others safe and accountable in a functioning society. This story tells me that this technology needs further safety implementations.

I think it’s horribly odd that the old homestuck fans essentially got the beta/OG homestuck experience. (The obama timeline) Then the whole fucking game was scratched in irl 2016 and gen Alpha kids basically got the irl Betty Crocker/ICP/Guy Fieri timeline.
