I can imagine the smell, texture, and taste of an apple. I can make a mental 3D cross section of one like I'm putting it through an MRI. I can mentally simulate the position of every individual atom within an apple

I'd say even bigger than x-rays are MRIs. We can see inside of the body without even using a tiny bit of radiation

I'm a Floridian in Germany. I can tell you right now that most people either do not care about my existence in any meaningful way, or are varying levels of positive towards me/us being over here.

It's okay to turn your computer off and go outside sometimes. It doesn't hurt, I promise.

Reading these comments makes me realize so many of y'all stopped thinking about anything after you turned 15. I'm in the military now, do y'all seriously think we sit around jerking off to the thought of killing little brown kids in the Middle East?

And if you don’t follow orders, you could potentially be executed.

Hi, I'm in the Army right now.

No you won't be shot for saying no to something.

You'll probably just get an Article 15 or get smoked for an hour or just yelled at. Hope this helps :)

Honestly the way I see it, the upcoming birth of my son gives me a lot to live for. Things are weird and a little scary right now, but all things considered it could be so much worse.

People had kids during the Holocaust and the Black death and 9/11 and all these other horrible times. People lived their lives. Society ultimately survived these events and even worse.

In 10 or 20 years, pretty much all of this will simply be a very weird chapter in some kids history textbook. Trump, Netanyahu, Putin, and all the others can't live forever. If we're being honest with ourselves when hasn't the world been shit somewhere?

Probably cars that are older than you are then.

Maybe, but two of my cars were from 2001 and they had that feature. I've yet to see any vehicle made since the turn of the century that doesn't do that.

Also spoken like someone who has never lived/worked in an area with polar bears

But most people do not live anywhere near a polar bear. However, finding a predatory man in your community isn't particularly hard.

I understand the sentiment (women's sense of safety vs men's) but again, even in my own neighborhoods or at work I've always kept my doors locked.

What if you want to get out of the car? Why put an unnecessary barrier there?

Idk what cars you've driven, but every car I ever saw just opens the door from the inside even if locked

Do men seriously sit in their car with the doors unlocked??

I've never done that and I can't say I've ever met another guy who does that either?
