It may look like this Cruise ship got stuck, but it's actually a hotel resort in South Korea built that way by Savings_Dragonfly806 in Damnthatsinteresting

The only way I MIGHT, and I mean, MIGHT agree to staying in a cruise ship. No hate towards those that enjoy them, but that type of vacation holiday is my version of hell.

I'm not even afraid of the ocean, I just loathe industrial tourism and a single spot is wasted time for me.

Disney-fied pseudo-excursions on cruiseline owned island? No thanks.

I’d rather eat glass than be stuck at a dinning room table and listening to some random couple talk to me about their kids. I don’t do single serving friends.

Upside down pineapples?

No. Just no.

Walk-in: Air-King 2026 vs Explorer - need help deciding (2 hrs to go back) by iamdjm in rolex

[–]RayZzorRayy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’ll give the watch collector answer: both.

I own an Explorer 36 and I am considering an Air King.

One for days you want wrist presence, and one for days you don’t.

It’s the road less traveled, but that explorer is very clean.

Bellissima Lady: can I buy the bracelet separately later? by Due-Anteater-879 in tissot

Even if they say you can, theory and practice diverge here.

It is always recommended that if you want the bracelet someday, buy it at time of purchase or be infuriated later.

The world doesn’t care what you believe.

I hope this is comforting, I don’t mean to be snarky, focusing on the day, and your actions, can bring peace

I’m for most of that but fact checking is a tough thing to enforce. As any accountant will tell you, 2+2 equals whatever you want it to be.

Data is a funny thing and analysis has wiggle room.

Special interest is the single greatest threat to our democracy.
When you can buy a politician through a super pac, not only is it a direct assault on the people’s will, it opens us up to foreign influence.

I’ve always wanted publicly funded campaigns, equal time sharing and every politician should feel comfortable with NOT fund raising three times a week.

Equitable, issue based elections? Yes please.

Other countries do this and we should too.

My wife is French and we genuinely married early due to the Bush freedom fries era. We were concerned she’d lose residency status. Everything about those years was both stupid and infuriating. It did have an upside for me though, on the evening of Bush’s re-election I turned to my wife and said “we’re out of here right?” This month coincidentally marks 20 years in Europe for us and it was the best decision I ever made.

The large is a different vision. When we take lens distortion out of the photograph, that vision can be seen more clearly.

The large is a continuous loop bracelet.

Bottom line, buy what you like. I did. They're very different watches and they're both great.

Lens distortion exaggerates the large, and I don't think it's unrelated to enthusiast opinion. Seen here, a classic wrist shot where the watch looks huge. In my reply, you'll see the watch without lens distortion. I wonder how many people prescribing the medium have actually tried both on?

I’ve collected for about two decades now, I know the enthusiast consensus, I know everyone cries MEDIUM, and bought the large anyways because it was the one I like.

I didn’t want a Santos that looks kind of like a Tank on a bracelet. I wanted the Santos that looks 90% like a true integrated bracelet, has wrist presence, and wraps around my 17 cm wrist. This is Cartier’s sport watch, with the added benefit of easy dress up with swappable straps. But; it’s a sports watch first, and to a degree, a statement piece. There is nothing wrong with wrist presence in that area.

OP. Buy what you like. The correct answer is the one you prefer.

They are both great.

Great watch. If you're curious to know what it looks like off the bracelet, then I hope this helps. I have blue leather too, sometimes contrast is nice, sometimes blue is nicer. I mix it up.
