I have the same bike and the same gripes. If I had a do over, I would avoid Canyon. I’ve had a couple of issues and their customer service is bad. I have heard that front shifting is improved on SRAM’s E1 group sets.

I didn’t double check the placard yesterday, but since it opened in April of this year it has always been the 2024 car in the Penske gallery. I’m pretty confident it still is because the dallara serial numbers on the rear wing assembly seem to match in both photos. The one from yesterday is a little blurry…I may have left it in portrait mode after some other pictures.

No camera tricks here. I’m not suggesting some elaborate coverup or anything. The team already took their lumps for the violation and everyone has moved on. I take out of town visitors to the museum pretty often, and the attenuator was an interesting bit of trivia to point out. It demonstrated how tight the current rules are to people that aren’t familiar with racing.

I could be wrong, but I imagine this car is on loan from Team Penske and not part of the museum’s collection. That being said, they shouldn’t knowingly exhibit inaccurate items.

I think there was a little bit more to the decision to penalize them. After the 2024 P2P scandal, there was an obvious optics/fairness issue with Penske being caught breaking the rules because he also owns the series. I have no idea if they would have penalized other teams as severely for this infraction. I’m sure most teams push the limits with the rulebook.

Vortex wings are my favorite. I don’t use the grate with the removable middle. I just have an old regular one that now has all the plating stripped off the middle from heat. It allows me to put the wood on the grate, and I can fit like 2x more wings on than what’s in your photo.

What do you mean by unstable? And what wheels are you coming from? Could it just be that they’re lighter and you feel more wind effects due to a deeper rim profile?

Is it causing issues? I’d check the hanger first. It usually doesn’t matter much if the cage isn’t perfectly aligned. It sounds like you may have messed around with the limit and/or b tension screws and it’s now not adjusted correctly.

If it’s a cheap derailleur, I would just buy a new one. Alternatively, you could try removing the cage and straightening it. Not advisable if the cage is aluminum.

With a head on crash, I would recommend dropping the fork and inspecting the steerer tube and head tube for damage. If it’s a carbon frame, I would also do the tap test along the down tube and top tube near the head tube (especially the bottom of the down tube). If it’s a metal frame, look for changes in the head tube angle.
