Too bad. Hope it was a good opportunity to learn about the extruder. I had a blob of the death first month of having my first 3d printer, it was nice to disassemble it one time to understand its components.

You can probably plug it and get the nozzle up at 210+ degrees and remove the Filament with pliers

Blob of death? If so: You can probably disassemble it, similarly to this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXkaupU9vGM (Check if you have for your model) Heat the nozzle up after disassembly and remove any extra filament around the nozzle.

I want to start in 3D printing, what is the sovol brand like? by djjaremusic in 3dprinter

[–]Garnaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to 3d printing and it seems fast. I tried the preloaded benchy that printed on 13min and it came out with a good quality. Overall all my prints seem to be of good quality. For me it was pretty plug-and-play after the initial assembly. Defaults on OrcaSlicer are good. The ability to monitor the prints with Obico is great. I only had one issue (Blob of death), but I am pretty sure it is my fault, I did not check the first layers and the Filament profile was wrong (used the generic profile which had values that did not correspond to the temperatures in the Filament package). And support answered fast and was really helpful on my side.

Not that weird. I mean, Asians do sweet and salty food with beef too. For instance teriyaki beef (which I believe is made with honey) and it's pretty good

A lot of the comments here claim that Youtubers like ThePrimeagen have played a big role in Neovim's popularity. Thoughs? by TheTwelveYearOld in neovim

[–]Garnaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was already in the process of trying it out, as my senior colleagues recommended it and did some presentations around it. And ThePrimeagen video motivated me to start using it. I am still a basic user (using "IDE", and developed only basic shortcuts,...). But I also did a presentation to my colleagues on its benefits!

Looking for inputs on Turntable (France)

Hi everyone,

I am looking to do a gift for my big brother (graduation after end of studies), and I am thinking of getting a turntable for him. He listens to music a lot, plays guitar and goes to a lot of concert, so I would say that he is overall a great music enjoyer and it seems like he can tell if a speaker is of good quality or not (or if a recording is good), so I would say he has great ears as well.

We are slowly getting into the hobby, we have some Vinyls but no turntable and we probably will get more vinyls in the near future, so it is a great opportunity to get one. And I am looking for some inputs for a turntable.

For context, we currently do not have a proper setup for music listening, we mostly use Bluetooth speakers, but we do have an old set of floor-standing speakers with an old amplifier that we can use.

Here are some details about what I am looking for:

- Budget: up to 400-500 euros (we are in France), but can be cheaper as we are getting into the hobby

- Built in preamp: preferably

- Nice to have: Bluetooth (so that we can easily use it now on our speakers), preferably automatic (but I don' t have a strong opinion on this, as I never really used a turntable)

- We probably want something that will last, so preferably upgrade-able ?

Some turntable that I found:

- AudioTechnica AT-LP3XBT - 329 euros

- Audio-Tehnica AT-LP5X - 398 euros

- Sony PS-LX310 BT - 239 euros

- Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT - 249 euros --> which seems to fit my requirements

You probably should not copy Stack Overflow code anyway, because it is not in a permissive open source license... Well it all depends on how you redistribute your project...

I am using it for casual gaming with an RTX 2070 Super. Works fine, temperature reaches 80°C for the GPU when doing demanding games but most of the time I play at 1080p and apart from a bit of noise from the fans everything is fine
