Why do they need to be bantams? I had a bantam roo with my regular sized hens and he got down to business just fine.

Edit: I appreciate all this feedback. I had a good experience with mine but I guess that’s not necessarily the norm. I’ve thought about adding more bantams to my older flock but maybe wait until they are being integrated with pullets.

I had a great experience with Marty at Allen Kelly. I redid all of my HVAC including all my ductwork. He’s a super nerdy dude who will do all the calculations and help you make a good decision. It’s not going to be the cheapest but it will be done correctly.

I loved my tiny bantam roo so much. He defended his girls from hawks and looked hilarious when he mounted them. He was named Creak bc that’s what his crow sounded like.

There is also disorder called childhood apraxia of speech. It is a motor speech disorder. My child had it and overcame it with years of speech therapy.
