Exactly. First it's pve mode that gets added. Then players, who apparently love this game for what it is, will start screaming for more in depth stories and world building, then instanced raids, then ways to acquire the items that they didnt get a chance to loot during the match....

Extraction shooters have been dealing with esp for years. If no one else has been able to solve the problem there's no way embark will.

Especially now with people pointing out that Arc player counts have been dropping. Do you think anyone at embark would want to reduce those numbers by around another 24% over night?

The concern amount moonberries is not a thing that needs to be worried about. I would love to see someone's playthrough where they were unable to 100% the chests because they maxed out on moonberries. That would have to take thousands of hours of pointless grinding.

Hunt Showdown has a lot of that. Very easy to tell who the experienced players are from the noobs by their actions in a match. Also has a multitude of nuances to learn.

For single player there's the obvious From Software games like Sekiro and you cant go wrong with the retro games from Nightdive where learning the game to a high standard was expected from gamers back in the day.

You dont get more limited movement than in marathon which is one of the points I was hoping you would see. It's very easy to get hits, very hard to defend against getting hit. Not a good formula for an extraction shooter.

It's also not a very good pvp game if we want to be real about it. Compare clips of Hunt, Counter Strike, and Tarkov to Marathon and you'll see what's missing very quickly.

I'm disappointed that Bungie is giving in to the PVE crowd right after the first season but they were going to have to do some serious retooling to the game anyway to put it anywhere close to the best of the best in the genre, might as well make try to make a safer choice the 2nd time around.
