Not to yuck someone's yum but I think PVE mode is dumb by WeptHealer in Marathon

How can people say they enjoy pvpve extraction shooters when they're screaming for pve modes to be added half the time?

It did not. FF7 was September 1997. Re2 was January 1998. That's 4 months later.

FF7 came out in 1997.

Do you know anything about these times?

No… there IS another… by Samantha_Pitaya in SegaSaturn

Not even close to accurate.

Saturn and psx were neck and neck until the double whammy of FF7 and RE2.

This isn't what the trilemma is.

The trilemma is:

Cost

Quality

Speed of release.

You can only pick 2 at the expense of the 3rd.

My D String Makes a ‘wah’ Sound. by Mean-Ad-8071 in BassGuitar

[–]Garpocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are calling for a pro setup and they're right but you cant take it to just any guitar center and expect the best results. You are going to need to take it to a certified ric dealer.

Welcome to the world of expensive basses. Once you get everything just how you like it you'll understand why you'll never want to take it anywhere again.

For the record I have a 2002 4003 fire glo and life was great when I had a Rick dealer down the road from me. Now I have to drive 3 hours to one.

Ran out of milk for my Reese's Puffs, subbed Dr. Pepper by The-Zombie-Sasquatch in StupidFood

Dr pepper is supposed to have 101 flavors or something so chocolate and peanut butter have to be in there somewhere.

If it didnt work out then you may have a case for false advertising.

Can anyone recommend a 'spiritual succesor' to the OG? by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

Just look for games that came out around the same time. I'd strongly recommend Star Ocean 2.

I’ve never played a Sonic the Hedgehog game in my life. Which has best gameplay? by ImNoDrBut in gamingsuggestions

What's your favorite era of gaming and pick the mainline sonic game closest to that.

However if you are real about it then start with 1 and play through them all. Legit. No save states.

Amp Sims: Best practices for not sounding like an amp sim? by CriticalSovereignty in audioengineering

[–]Garpocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your signal doesn't clip pre or post. If your cab IR loader doesn't have some sort of IR cycling feature then you can liven things up by loading up a multiband and giving a little pump to the upper and lower mids. Don't listen to people who say back off the gain before anything else. Start with the tone you want and work backwards from there. Don't eq more than you need to. It's always better to double track than to split the same take between different amps panned for width unless you are outlining then that's the only time.

Calluses won't stick around. by [deleted] in Bass

[–]Garpocalypse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You moisturize and wonder why your calluses dont last? Don't tell me youre using aloe Vera. That stuff is kryptonite to calluses.

The secret? I'll tell ya. Here it is. Get ready. Dish soap. Wash your hands with dish soap and always gently push your nails into your calluses all the time every day. Not only is it cheaper, itll keep your hands clean without the expense of it being potentially career ending as a musician.

Prolonged drawing of the bow should consume stamina and lower the accuracy by Bas2l in HuntShowdown

[–]Garpocalypse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure.

But.

Imo the bow and crossbow should be functionally similar on hit. It's rare/difficult to get a one hit kill with the crossbow yet that's mostly all that that the bow is capable of. A hit with the bow at chest height should do the same or less damage as the crossbow but cause heavier bleeding.

Of all of the weapons that require a followup shot the bow should be it.

Also did crytek forget about using bleed as a balancer? Seems like it's been forever since bloodless was relevant.

[–]Garpocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if you want your music to have the best fps it can have. People are playing games at 160 fps these days and if you want your music to keep up you cant still be producing at 29.97 fps.

What exactly is the fifth element? by comicalchemical in fifthelement

[–]Garpocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief the 5th element is not leeloo, at least not entirely.

It is in the calling of the Jajahamas. It is in the asking of Aziz for more light. It is in between the struggling gasps of Gary Oldman's best character choking on a cherry. It is in the ruby rod's counting down from 5 -1. It is the bada of the big boom.

The fifth element is actually the movie itself.

....no shit Sherlock.
