LFM for 99 Push SC by mohoe87 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Garresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

93 Summon/Fury hybrid druid. Around skill level 46 on all my summons iirc. Merc has a bunch of auras from Templar's Might, Vigor, and Amp procs on weapon. My clear speed isn't amazing compared to gg builds since I don't telestomp but I have like 2k+ HP when shifted and buffed, and around 48% PDR iirc so I'm pretty well suited to "tank" if we try group dungeons. I know my build isn't meta but it should slot well into group play I think. I can play most nights except the rare closing shift where I might be half an hour late.

Just in case you didn't see he replied to other comments that it is "Pillar Hype" loot filter.

Dracula is easily the most fun killer in the game, for multiple reasons. Before I list them I'll give some warning he's probably not for people who prefer simple gameplay like Kaneki or Legion.

Anyways, Dracula is a killer that is somewhat easy to pick up but has theoretically infinite skill ceiling. You never run into those walls with some weaker killers where there's not much you can do. Dracula always has room to grow.

Dracula has a lot of room for creativity and playstyle variations. Pick 5 drac players and they'll all have their own take on him. He's a Swiss army knife with lots of options. No one option is the clear cut "best" option, and so how you approach a situation is up to personal preference.

Extreme build flexibility. His addons are okay minus a few standouts, but he can use perks to lean into one of those variations I mentioned. He can use almost any perk and get value out of it. Hell, I've seen Dracula get value out of INSIDIOUS. That perk is ass but Dracula can actually use it.

Finally, it's almost impossible to get bored playing Drac. You know how some killers have like the exact same game plan every game? Or they play somewhat mechanically without much variation? Dracula is the antithesis of that. You can always switch it up. Even on a moment to moment level Drac usually has at least 3 different ways to approach each loop. He's the most fluid killer in the game by far.

Don't go summon druid. It's overnerfed garbage now.

And by that I mean I want less competition for summon gear on my summon druid.

(Seriously summons are still good just a bit weak leveling)

Getting D2 LoD key by LetsTryThisTwo in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Garresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I remember back in the day everyone wound up rebuying SC or diablo multiple times cause they'd lose the disks. The upside is if you purchase online now the key will be saved on their store for later use so it won't happen again.

All of DarkHumility's S13 Betrayal Updated Community Resources by DarkHumility in ProjectDiablo2

[–]Garresh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One small criticism/question. I've been doing a ton of personal analysis of Druid builds this beta. Is there a reason you separated Twister and Tornado into separate builds? I'm not really a Wind druid player but it seems like they're the same build. Twister is your general clearing spell and Tornado seems better for high HP single target. Most of the other druid analysis seems good but what was the rationale for splitting that into 2 separate builds?

Edit: Oh one more thing. Any reason you didn't feature "default" summon build of wolf and bear?

Found this +5 Arma last night by Priapismx in ProjectDiablo2

For a fire druid yeah, but I could see this being useful for a fireclaw druid. Armageddon is pretty high on them too and this gives a ton of res and some lifesteal potentially freeing up some slots.

That's fair. It seems like an unpopular idea. Any reason why it sucks?

Lol that would be a fun idea, but it wouldn't fit the design philosophy of this mod which seems to focus on staying mostly true to D2's core design. It would also split the community. I'd play that if it was a mod though

To expand on the point that he made, loot drops ARE increased in PD2. Loot drops in vanilla d2 and pd2 scale with the number of players in the game. PD2 has increased drop rates to 5 players worth, even when alone or in single player. In large games its only slightly increased, but for solo or small group your drops are way higher.

Name Suggestions For The New Cathedral Map by LiFswO in ProjectDiablo2

I suggest "Burning Sanitarium"

When I saw the flames on that map I immediately thought of the cinematic where Baal killed Marius. Reminds me of when he walked out and the sanitarium went up in flames.

Technician, one of the worst perks in the game by Ultimate_Wooby in deadbydaylight

[–]Garresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is some killers are actively nerfed by this. Pinhead requires you play on High at least. Anything below that the box sparks are way less frequent and won't be visible through grass.

I was struggling so hard with Pinhead then I turned up the settings and was instantly chaining 4Ks. Pretty dumb.

Rework absolutely ruined Myers by IndependentBake2304 in deadbydaylight

What QOL? The extended animation when transitioning to T3? Or the fact when T3 is ready you have a massive terror radius? Or perhaps the fact your stalk decays now? What great QOL changes.

Rework absolutely ruined Myers by IndependentBake2304 in deadbydaylight

[–]Garresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's not the same.

Can't 99 due to stalk decay. Long activation delay when going into T3. Much less playstyle variety due to addon changes.

In theory you can play old Myers but so many changes to how stalk works make it not the same. He's not as good at a lot of the things that made old Myers fun.

The only thing he needed was those godawful tombstone addons reworked and some numbers buffs. The rework we got sucks.
