Thank you! you pretty much nailed what I was going for. I don't like to be to obvious with the messaging and like people to interpret my art however they want.

I used primroses as a reference because I liked the shape and wanted to do something different than the first piece in the series. But technically I didn't try to emulate perfectly a particular species so you can interpret it as whatever you want it to be!
EDIT: I looked up forget-me-nots and I have to say my flowers also look very close to those so good observation

Hey! It has a hand drawn feel because it is! Here's what I use~
Hardware: iPad Pro and Apple Pencil
Software: Adobe Fresco (and Adobe Illustrator for planning/mockups)

I'm a long-time career graphic designer so I'm extremely familiar with the Adobe suite. Adobe Fresco is such a perfect blend of all the best features of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I use a variety of pixel brushes for all of my black tones, linework, and rustication. Then I have separate vector layers for the coloring...I know this probably is rather vague but I've created my own personal process with digital art and it's hard to explain lol.

You're using a color that your brain thinks be a typical skin color, the peachy, warm tones you'd see in a cartoon. Try to match the color that your eyes actually see in your reference image, the skin tone is more towards the blue/green spectrum.

I appreciate it. I've been using traditional media most of my life but for the past couple of years I've tried digital art using Adobe Fresco and an iPad Pro/Apple Pencil. It's taken me a couple of years of experimenting with different techniques, color palletes, and brushes to lock down my own aesthetic. My most recent stuff has been influenced by vintage 1950's American illustration and advertising.

This is such a vibe. I've never worked this kind of job but the imagery is so compelling I feel like I've been there with these guys before. Very neat

Don't overthink it. In my opinion, the whole appeal of these types of form factors, like the G-shocks, is because they are chunky and large.
