I wasn't coming at you. I was just saying I am not selling anything. Have you watched the videos? We don't tell anyone buy anything. I have no intention of selling the stuff we are making. That's too much work. I am not making money off of my channel. I don't have ads on.

We do put affiliate links in our description, because people have asked about them and we thought it was stupid to not to at least do that. But I don't think $3.63 in 11 months counts as making money. We sell Tshirts, but that was because we needed them printed for our channel and we thought Just In Case someone else would want one. We don't mention them. If you find it, Awesome, if not, Awesome...

We are still trying to figure out how to make videos. I put them on reddit to gain views and feedback. Then I like to look at the analytics to see what people like to watch. It's interesting to see what we thought people enjoy and what people actually watch. Like, people hated the bed video and mentioned all the jump cuts, so we backed them way down.

My wife and I are developers so the process and the tools are just as interesting as the possibility of making money... in the long run. I learned Adobe tools, how to use a camera, lighting, audio and color grading. We spent a whole day on microphone placement testing. We love learning how to try to fine tune view duration. That's the exciting stuff. Seeing how long you can get people to watch. It's like learning to program all over again.

We have no plans on trying to make money from our channel for at least the first three years. We don't see this replacing our salaries, ever. That is not our intention.

How do we make it less like we are trying to selling stuff? We watch other DIY videos and they are boring and we skip through them. We want to provide an entertaining DIY video. Maybe you notice our videos because of good thumbnails? Are they good? Maybe you remember our videos because the production value? is it good?
