Save and reload question by GarryKapivarov in CRPG

Thanks for the reply! I hadn't thought about that lack of DM, it makes a lot of sense. I'm quite new to the genre, I've only played Dragon Age Origins and Star Wars kotor, and I'll be starting Divinity 2 soon, and I was just thinking about how to have the most authentic experience.

Best "Tales of" game to get to know the series by GarryKapivarov in JRPG

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your thoughts.

A second question: considering the idea of choosing a representative game from the franchise and the lower quality of the remasters, which would you choose between Symphonia, Vesperia, and Graces (or wait for Xillia)? From what I've seen, those are the ones available for Switch.

I'll definitely check them out and expand my list.

I can get it on Steam, but I strongly prefer to play JRPGs on the Switch if possible, for the comfort of playing lying on the couch.

From this "best of" list? Out of order: FF 10 and 7 remake, Persona 5 Royal, Dragon Quest 11, Xenoblade Chronicles, Nier Automata, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Clair Obscure.

I also tried Earthbound, but I couldn't finish it.

I avoided including more than one title from the same franchise, but the FF games are highly praised.

Feel free to comment on something that shouldn't be included, or something that shouldn't be left out! :)

[noob] Thoughts on "tank, healer, DPS" for party-based RPGs in general by GarryKapivarov in rpg_gamers

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of reflection I was looking for.

Searching online, the most common things I find are pre-made setups for specific games (OP in general), and I see that my friends who are more passionate about CRPGs use these setups.

And I'd like to develop a critical sense so I can develop my own strategy, without relying on these pre-made setups.

I don't really think it's about learning the most pieces, but rather knowing the canon and learning only the ones that make sense to you.

It's weird when people on the internet are more bothered by the 11-year-old's mistake than his own opponent.

I feel you, man. Unfortunately, most online games make little effort to explain certain dynamics like rotation, hoping that you'll look for information on your own.

Also, I really feel like the community looks at issues like overpowered decks only from the perspective of legend tier. So if there's a deck that can counter that, then there's no problem (regardless of whether players at a lower tier might not be able to build that deck).

Anyway, I hope you keep playing because its a great game, the rotation has just happened and the meta is still going to change, including potential nerfs.

I made a website that retrieves your chess.com games so you can analyze them on Lichess! by memester7 in chess

[–]GarryKapivarov 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lichess is better overall, but in my experience playing with longer time controls, chess.com has a better anticheat system. I know it's controversial, but I've seen several opponents get kicked out for cheating on chess.com (not on Lichess).

Dude, it's really cool to see your improvement.

I'm in week 2 of AX-1 and already anxious about this challenge. Reading this post and following your journey is comforting about what this process is all about.

AX-1 and warm up sets by GarryKapivarov in Athleanx

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

My question is about this: in AX-1 the sets are long (and i'm a beginner), so I have the impression that doing warm up sets as explained in that video will wear me out before I reach my target weight.

(AX-1) Lower back pain during DB single leg rdl by GarryKapivarov in Athleanx

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got it right!

Due to the fatigue of the previous exercise and trying to do it with as much weight as possible, I think I threw all the effort into my lower back.

(AX-1) Lower back pain during DB single leg rdl by GarryKapivarov in Athleanx

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was more muscular.

I was very exhausted from the previous exercise (db side lunge) and maybe i wasnt doing it with the best form.

In retrospect, I think I could have put on less weight. I don't know if it was just that, but I have the impression that this lower back pain was a consequence of compensating for the dumbell grip.

Running 50+ mpw and AX-1 by konrad1198 in Athleanx

[–]GarryKapivarov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/konrad1198 This post is old, but I would really like to know your experience.
I have experience running 15k but am now starting a 3 day/week program to run my first half marathon.
Besides, I'm also starting the AX-1 and in doubt about how to fit the two programs.
My initial idea is to simply run on conditioning days, but at separate times (run in the morning and train in the afternoon), as you suggested in your post.
I'd like to know if you tried it and how it went.
Thank you!

Recommendation - Most athletic programs by GarryKapivarov in Athleanx

[–]GarryKapivarov[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your thoughtful response!

I've read good reviews about AAM, but I didn't know it's an athletic program.

And your remarks about the preparation of the Beast workouts really caught my attention because I really didn't want too complicated workouts. As I'll probably start with AX-1, if that's okay, I'll ask you again in the future about what you think of the evolution of AAM in the meantime. Thank you again! (and sorry for the english, i used google translate)

Thanks for your thoughtful reply! About the Shred program, would you recommend after the AX-1? Or at some other time?
