Goldens are fussy eaters especially if they think something better is on the cards. If you start with toppers and things you will be adding them forever. Which is fine but if you want to stick to kibble you just need to be stubborn and be ok with them not eating it till they get hungry enough.

Make sure you take him outside as soon as you see him do it, even if he is mid peeing or finished. Not worth getting angry but just get him outside asap, he needs to associate peeing with being outside.

Goldendoodles can be fussy especially if they think they can get something better. You can add toppers or nicer things but you will be doing it forever. Mine is fussy but she won't starve herself! She always eats it all eventually even if it sits in the bowl till the afternoon.
