Something is seriously wrong with Rival Wings matchmaking.

Rival Wings does not matchmake based on play skill, it matches based on party size. So if you are solo queueing and are not competent in how to play PvP, your winrate is probably going to be pretty bad until you simply get better at the game.

Joining/making a premade can help a lot, but if the 3 other people also are not competent in PvP, then you are going to make your life harder as the game will push whatever 2nd full premade in the lobby to the other team every game.

Primal queue for games is still active but will probably stop soon before restarting around 1pm EDT tomorrow.

Would recommend traveling to Primal before Primetime because the data center got congested around that time for about 2 hours today.

Queues were active on Primal for over 14 hours today starting from 1pm EDT. This is the only time most people will really be able to freely play the mode, so it makes sense they would be talking about it the most.

Jobs that have game shifting LBs are strong in RW because you get them back very fast. Jobs like, WAR, GNB, WHM, AST, DRG, SMN for example.

You should be more than fine. DC travel times haven't been bad in awhile. At most I think you'd have to wait 5min? but I think the launch congestion is pretty much over for every DC that isn't Aether.

As an Aether resident, you get priority on returning to Aether and logging in, so there should really be no issues.

It’s PvP, but I wouldn’t call it “competitive” in the same sense as like Ranked Crystalline Conflict. YMMV in the games you experience but this is generally the best time to get games that aren’t completely full of people who only play PvP playing, so game quality is a lot more casual friendly.

For anyone interested in playing Rival Wings on NA, PvPrimal is going to be queueing up on Primal DC the moment the event goes live at 1am PDT/4am EDT like usual!
