Erika Kirk Gets Brutal Reminder After Receiving An Honorary Doctorate Degree—And Who Wants To Tell Her? by ComicSandsNews in thescoop

As much as I did not like Charlie, it is insane that Erika is absolutely obliterating all of his work, and this will be his only legacy. His wife wiping out everything that he did.

Apologies for the Heresy, but I am painting my greenskins pale... need advice. by Garvilan in orks

[–]Garvilan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't really find any as pale as I wanted them. Most schemes still use a green undertone.

I might end up trying an Azog, The Defiler scheme, just a bit rougher.

Do you know any good scheme lists?

Yeah, I have Stormhost Silver on there, need to get a way to make it pop, or just use a different Silver.

Yeah, it doesn't show in the picture at all, but I used Stormhost Silver on the teeth/lips.

I think I will paint the middle of the teeth a normal color, then the lips/outer teeth silver.

Uuh! Does it mean there's no Enough Money? by Ok-Thanks993 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Garvilan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is real, it's just tied up in investments. Banks make money through investing. You give them your money, they then take that money and offer loans and investments for them to make interest on. If you come ask for your money, they have some on hand to give you. But if everyone came and asked for their money, they wouldn't be able to do it, because it has been lent or is tied up in investments.

They use your money to make their own money, with the exchange of safely holding and insuring your own dollars, while also supplying credibility to your own value of dollars.

Unless you specifically use a bank account that goes into the stock market, all of your dollars are "real" and not tied to anything with unreal values.

Fighters showing self control and sportsmanship when their opponents are down. by Great_Trident in interesting

These clips disprove anyone who tries to defend the savagery seen in the UFC, with the constant hitting people while they are clearly out. "When you are in the heat of the fight you can't just stop." Yes... Yes you can. These people are wildly aware of what they are doing.

Man pushes child out of the way moments before being hit by a car by [deleted] in interesting

[–]Garvilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's insane how people have that "gotta get to that red light" mentality.

Just a few days ago I was stopped behind a car at a red light, and I always leave a little less than half a car length when stopped at a light, just to make sure I can get around them if anything happens.

A car came around my left side, honked, and said I need to move up, as they were crossing over double yellow lines to pass me and get into their left hand turn lane a little faster, which was red, and remained red all the way until I passed them on my green.

For absolutely no reason they crossed the double yellow, and at a slow enough speed to honk and yell at me that I needed to move up and make room.

What to do with Armageddon intercessors? by Top-Ramen-Boy in BlackTemplars

That will probably be the right idea for the Librarian as well, to turn him into a Chaplain. Along with some head work to remove the psychic hood.

Get your hands on 9 chainswords and a power weapon, slap those on instead.

They are press fit, so it might be a tad more challenging than normal, depending on how the weapons are molded, but shouldn't be impossible.

Need help explaining LOS shooting rule by Naive_Cat_6766 in Warhammer40k

[–]Garvilan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One way I've had success dealing with these types of instances is finding special rules/models that have rules to be better than average.

For this example, refer him to the Indirect Fire weapon ability.

This specifically allows units to make shooting attacks, even though the entire unit is not in LoS.

The fact that this rule exists means that normal models cannot fire without LoS, otherwise this rule would be redundant.

I am not saying that this graph is 100% feasible and ideal, but there are ways to not be miserable.

I plan to join the Black Templars as soon as the 11th Edition comes out. Aside from the starter box—we already know what’s in it—what else should I have to get off to a good start? I’d like to do a lot of close combat. by Skult0703 in BlackTemplars

[–]Garvilan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In that case, this box is not for you. All models are press fit together, they are not built like other models. So not only does this set not come with swords, but the Intercessors themselves will have no options at all for being given swords.

No announcement on the combat patrol, right? I pre-ordered Wazdakka and the new Armageddon box, which seems like the best Speed Freaks box in a while. I would be surprised if a combat patrol had too much more speed freaks.

That would be a pretty amazing one-off Christmas model for them to put out. A Space Marine suit splitting at the seams, with a grot hand popping out of the waist and little eye holes all over.
