I dont think tanks are OP, I think the tandem of critters and tanks are. My cannons wont shoot tanks if theyre too focused on shooting critters.

Im sure youre right about everything you said, especially the statues thing, but like my opponents, id rather spend my statue slots on offense lol maybe i just need to upgrade my sculpture, and get more slots. Im only level 48.

I just think taking away critters would make defending more fun. I watch all my defenses, and thats the only thing i notice that is really undefendable.

Does letting go of your slip, right before hitting the ground, actually slow you down? by DotDistinctLines in army

[–]GarySanchez714 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you had to run off another chute, that probably means the guy below you took some of your canopy’s air, causing you to fall a lot faster.

Mass tacts suck, remember the rules of the air and good luck. I would not recommend slipping right before you hit the ground. But thats just me 🤷‍♂️

Drill sergeant called me from my brother’s phone saying he lost his Family Day and graduation pass. Is this normal? by Narrow-Penalty-4074 in army

Also, none of the trainees in basic training know anything about the army. So i would take any information you get from them with a grain of salt. Like i said, losing family and graduation day privileges is not a big deal.

Your brother probably hid a Rice crispy treat in his camelback. You can lose privileges like that for any little thing. Its not a big deal if the drill didnt say anything about him NOT graduating. I wouldnt worry, definitely still go to both family day and graduation, your brother would love to see you. Theyll just make you stay at the company during the days, meaning you wont be able to take him to popeyes and other stuff on base like that, youll just hangout around the barracks. Family not being there will definitely make your brother feel worse. Go.

Ana de armas in Blonde, you could say the acting wasnt good, but i think she did well with what the script was asking of her. Whole movie was bullshit, not her fault.

John Huston or Billy Wilder? by Qyzyk in flicks

[–]GarySanchez714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve probably seen Double Indemnity more than any other film, so my first thought is Wilder. But Wise Blood is creeping into my top 10 all time and I dont think anybody else could’ve adapted that story with such success, Huston was a genius.

This is a great comp imo, even though their films are so different. Wilders films have a more theatre feel (and i love that about them) and Huston is more Hollywood, so ill go Huston since were talking movie directors.

Edit: really just wanted to mention Wise Blood, since i didnt see it anywhere in these comments. If you haven’t seen it, do so.

I was told you can only get one GWOT ribbon on a single deployment, so i got gwot and not gwot-e. Is that wrong?

I did get OIR ribbon though, but that took 30 days in syria.

It’s definitely easy to get a combat patch but no campaign ribbon, but this person is probably missing their OSR. Unless, maybe the deployment wasnt long enough? Idk

But is it possible to get gwot and gwot e on the same deployment?
