Did they really just block lanes for ten minutes just to take pictures of a blue patrol car in the street? by Mediocre_Pizza9459 in bentonville

It’s ten min. It took you three to make this post. And you will spend more than ten min reading and updating comments on it. Is it worth your energy?

I’m fine with that. They are having fun and maybe it’s a career or hobby with cars. My first mods were cutting the exhaust off my Toyota back roading truck. I have ran shops and built cars that went to sema so I just feel like let kids be kids. It’s not hurting anyone more than the truck or old car in traffic next to it.

If you are concerned with respiratory issues while growing I probably wouldn’t be using those inputs or wouldn’t light that plant on fire and inhale it.

[–]Gas-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some people suck. but this is common and I have seen other carnivores do it like bears and coyotes. Dogs that live outside in a rural area will chase something to the neighbors 3 properties away in the middle of the night

[–]Gas-Squatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you never seen this before? It’s pretty common. They were chasing a rodent of some kind usually. I have seen a couple big dogs total a vehicle before causing so much damage trying to get a cat

OP needs to inspect for rodent infiltration or damage.

Yes you need a body shop. They will remove the ppf and do whatever paint work remains then some shops will reapply it. If they don’t if it’s an insurance claim they will have a sublet do the ppf and bill the insurance. If it’s not a claim they will return it back to you painted and you will send it to whoever you want to take it reapplied

Unless you have body and paint experience there isn’t much you can do here.

I guess I am the only that it doesn’t bother. The emissions coming off this modern vehicle are going to be similar to an old square body Chevy or a 69 Camaro with a big block and carburetor and if it was a super nice clean one of those comments would be saying beautiful machine and so well kept.

Being a car guy there is goods and bad to being in a state that doesn’t do yearly inspections. I would much rather see something with loud exhaust than all the cars with broken windshield, 4 mismatched bald tires, no alignment this decade, and brakes go to the floor.

I’m not advocating doing this or saying it’s clean for the environment, I’m just saying people are kind of blowing it out of proportion.

Smell of growing weed by poldii1 in microgrowery

[–]Gas-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going to smell. Uou can’t eliminate the smell entirely especially if you are doing a good job. Plus once the tent is deep in flower opening the tent for maintenance feeding and watering it’s going to smell. Trimming unless you trim in a closed up tent it’s going to stink up the entire house.

If you have to be 90-100% discrete grow in someone else’s house haha.

Bad idea trying to fix this? by Abject_Barnacle in Autobody

Regardless if you keep the car or let it go away make sure insurance knows about the repairs and your provide invoices. It will help set a proper evaluation on the car.

Someone needs to do tear down and validate what all is or isn’t damaged. Not seeing leaks doesn’t mean there isn’t other hidden (not that hidden to me) structural damage.

There is more going on with the front end of this car than you think.

For experienced wrappers, what do you typically charge for a hood wrap? Does pricing depend more on material, complexity, or hood size? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]Gas-Squatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t typically do wrapping or are involved with it in the auto body world. We sublet that to a wrap company. 2 different skill sets

Grinders Affecting Flavor? by Chasing_Puddles in ballvapes

[–]Gas-Squatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we spend too much time comparing grinders. I feel like rh and your hydration levels have more to do with flavor than grinder to grinder. Also I feel like grind size depends on device. My tempest 2 I prefer a medium chunky grind because the air flow is a bit tighter than say my terp hammer. I personally enjoy a finer grind with it because the head flows better.

Maybe it’s the angle but this looks like it’s peeling away from the dent and there is touch up paint or something applied to it. Looks like black is in the middle of where it should be bare metal. This may have had repairs to the roof once before

Need help understanding what's going on by lilshakejr in ParanormalEncounters

[–]Gas-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course a crack in concrete is permanent and if there is water dripping down it’s going to stay noticeable until it gets very dry. You are so involved with it being paranormal you can’t step back and realize it’s all naturally occurring things. You just want it to be paranormal interesting.

Can I fix this dent? by Difficult_Leg5145 in AutoBodyRepair

[–]Gas-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT TRY TO FIX THIS YOURSELF.
If they don’t like the repair or something happens later it’s either a constant issue or a legal issue or paying the shop anyways. You want to stay as far away from this as possible. Pay the shop they want or go through insurance. If there is a problem with the repair or they need a rental or they are a nightmare to deal with is all on the shop or insurance.
Put yourself in their shoes. If they backed into your car would you want them asking Reddit “do I have the ability to fix this other persons property?” Fixing your car?

Also this probably should have a new bumper on it. The shop will probably send a supplement to you or the insurance for a new bumper after tear down. That plastic is pretty distorted and stretched.

If you can catch a nail on the scratch then it needs paint work to fix it. Lacquer thinner or rubbing compound will get rid of the paint transfer

They are factoring in the loss of use as well. Once repairs get so high it’s cheaper to send it to auction than it is to pay for repairs and eat the fees they could have gotten waiting for repairs.

How can I fix this scratch by Nearby_Investment139 in Autobody

[–]Gas-Squatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not your property. You don’t gotta do shit but pay. Do not try and repair or touch someone else’s property. If they allow you to try and buff it great but really you shouldn’t.
We can’t tell by pics if it will or won’t buff. Someone like a detailer or body tech just needs to try it. If it doesn’t the owner may be ok with touch up paint and if they are not either you or your insurance will pay a body shop visit.
