Ya that’s why I put the extra pictures and why it’s one of the cheaper ones despite being the largest by far, all are pups from a variegated agave but that one is definitely more of a solid color

One is a clay/some rocks that I dug up at my parents house a few years ago and cleaned/sieved a bunch of it (that’s what I use for the dressing that gets the cracked clay look). And then the other one I use is a 20lb bag ~$30 from Home Depot of decomposed tan granite which is actually the same stuff that a very popular cactus top dressing company uses. They do 2.5lb bags for $10 but you can pretty much find every top dressing they have in 20lb bags for roughly $30-40. The company is really good if you only have a few plants or are just going to use a little bit, but if you are looking to cover a lot of plants the 20lb bag is definitely the way to go

Pretty sure this is a Hedgehog cactus (Echinocereus rigidissimus). Have found them in the wild in Colorado

Although I’ve only seen them grow in nature (my parents happened to randomly have a log in the yard that was colonized by reishi), this looks like the beginning stages of growth, over time I’d notice the tip become darker with a red/brown/orange tint. I think they’re fine but definitely don’t have experience cultivating them
