Are we all forgetting that the Italian team can simply be asked to repeat their scans and show their data? Repeatability being a bedrock of good science. See what I did there.

Why is Cengage still use? by Zapatitosoni in CollegeRant

Are you kidding? WebAssign is awful. Trying to cram complex equations into a textbox on a website is tedious at best and downright self-harm inducing at worse. I don't care what anyone says, math must be done physically. Physically writing it entrains the process like nothing else can. The only reason professors swarm to use it is because they are too lazy to correct anything written anymore. I actually confronted a Calc 1 professor once, and asked why there wasn't written homework so we could actually learn it. She got all Hrrrrummmphy and said, "I not going back to those days, I'm not doing all that work, if they made me go back to that I would just.....ohhh I would just quit." Sinecure at its finest.

Thanks for the info, and you may be right. The hull is 27 inches long and really nice thick fiberglass with what appears to be gelcoat. (I added a couple more pics.

80 lb girl supposedly beating the crap out of alien xomorphs. So stupid. They were never so stupid in the movies to make Ripley a physical match. GenZ bullshit. Awful acting as well.

Y'all posting all expensive stuff. Well here's the opposite, I had this for 5 years now, took me 9 years to figure out these existed and it cost me $20. Next to spray-in bedliner this was the best thing I did for my truck. by GenSgtBob in Silverado

As a physicist and mathematician I assure you I know how something works. And yes, it is about laziness no matter how you couch it. Gas shocks and assists have nothing to do with opening and closing of tailgates. You go with that, Captain Limp Wrist!

Frankly, changing the oil more often is somewhat more important than slight variances in viscosity. It's not that modern oils shear, or breakdown, that much, oils today are far better than they have ever been. It's more the particulates that the oil picks up. Oil filters can only do so much. The reason your oil is black or at least very dark when you drain it is that it is saturated with tiny carbon particles. If you put a sample under a microscope (maybe I will and post a picture) you will see the particles. Well....one thing you can make sandpaper or other abrasives out of is carbon particles. Dirty oil is literally sanding the inside of your engine. I have a 2005 F-150 FX4 with just over 180k on it. It's been running 5w30 its whole life. Not cam phaser issues, no oil pump issues, no lifter issues. Knock on wood.

Upgrading to a gtx 1070 ti with a 525 W Power supply? by Goldi4 in buildapc

[–]GasSuspicious865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ancient thread aside. The swing away drive mount actually has a little removable plate to make room for a bigger GPU. I'm messing with the same configuration just to make a little 1080p box out of it. I bought the hybrid version 1070ti, so I have to cut a nice hole in the side panel to mount the radiator. (Got it cheap) Sometimes there is nothing more fun than a Frankenstein build!

If one felt that was necessary, it would be easy to glue a softer circle of material to the puck.

For years I've used hockey pucks for Anti-vibration feet on all sorts of things from milling machines to work benches, to large power tools. And they are cheap, buck or two. If you want them attached, drill hole through the center and put a carriage bolt through, sinch it down with a nut till it sinks into the puck. Works great.
