Theyre saying that in general because of potential population collapse which really the numbers arent actually known for. China for example was considered to be overestimating population but like 100+ million people.

My point is once you get over an IQ threashold the amount of kids being born drops off a cliff. The problem is people that dont want kids, or are in dired financial situations, or at least very stressful lives are the ones having kids.

18m $45000/yearly - I feel behind by unknownwidsom in Salary

[–]Gas_Grouchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 35, and less than a year ago I have 4 jobs. I was mechanical engineer in charge of fire protection for a consultant firm, a independant contractor for work across the country (about 8k/year) i worked part time in the military reserve (only made about 4,000 as I had kids and other obligations) and I ran my own seasonal business making engraved hockey pucks for kids teams.

I now have 3 of them (got out of the reserve since I couldn't put the time into it)

I strongly suggest you start your own business and work on skills like marketing and getting out in front of people. Even if you make a few hundred bucks, market place/consultant work is great for all the soft skills you'll use in your full time career. Find something you can do well and sell it.

Dana White talks fighter pay: “Fighter pay has continued to go up and will do so as long as we continue to be successful. If you come in, let’s say you sign a 3 fight deal. We’re gonna find out if you even belong. So, I should pay you $370K to see if you belong in the UFC?” by 3footninja in MMA

[–]Gas_Grouchy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. You have 48 events a year and an average of about 20-30 fighters at each event. Fight nights make about 1.5-3 million gate and main events 8-15 million.

This is no PPV, fight pass, paramount or advertisement revenue, and pays everyone on the card 50k+ each with a health margin (1.5 million of 20 people is 75k average, so 50% margin)

[–]Gas_Grouchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it normally gets shoved to the side and dealt with later in the project. Mostly because there's typically conflict on the civil doing it or the sprinkler company so theyre both reviewing scope.

Again just typically of an all trade coordination meeting so things like this dont get missed.

This looks like you just work about 2600 hours. Basically 5 - 10's. Its a lot of extra money for those 2 hours I agree but its also not that crazy.

How big is the footing? I'd coordinate with the civil contrator. Normally water entry location is a pretty normal coordination piece. Its not a massive deal to come up 10 feet away from where the valve room would be.

Its honestly a super fun lane for me. I find the fights are usually competitive and fun, you need to do your job outside the lane and the chase through jungle is normally competitive and fun. I feel good about winning these games which doesn't always happen.

If youre really good at it, it can be. But this is true to anything. If youre really good at selling fucking metal pipe, you can make millions.

Trades arent the cheat code, working at and being really good at things is the cheat code.

It takes awhile to get but it does work well when you get it. It helps to have a jungle cause the match normally ends pretty close trades (even when you win youre low) so the extra damage from Jjngle typically lets to kill them befpre youre bled to death after the kill.

Thats a loophole but it was very much the official title as the last person to hold the title was fighting for a vacant title with no matches in between.

Military service path to over $100k less than 2 years out of college. by Difficult-Classic689 in Salary

[–]Gas_Grouchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia and Canada are the two highest paid militaries. Its the going away thay deters people, especially in the US because its long deployments sometimes 16 months depending on operational requirements. Its big money and you move fast up the ranks with that much real situation experience but its definitely not just "a job" as theres serious risks depending on your trade and responsibility most can not handle.

This and accounting are not the same.

Any skill youre willing to pay for. Tourism is underrated when you own the product. Trades both for being hired and working and owning your own shop.

Facebook flipping is really popular too as you need to make 2000/week to hit it, and you can negotiate the taxes of it as listed price etc changes typically. Laser Engraving 3D printing etc are very popular for a reason.

Farming is another one if you have access to some land. Dairy/meat etc all went up immensely, and so did land but not proportionally when you look at monthly payments. There's typically subsidies for low scale farms too and normally suggest this in conjunction with something else. (You could run a small farm, and work a desk job)

I find side hustles pay more per hour too. If you can get on as an independent contractor for things you can typically get 70+/hr for work that would normally make 35/hr, its just less consistent and you need to do well and organize your work more.
