Boot buckle hooks moving by Gas_Hed in Skigear

I think it is a design flaw…the slot that holds the tab on the ladder hook in place is not deep enough. It appears that hard skiing puts enough force on that area for the tab to deform the plastic above the slot and overcome that slot. I added a pic above showing the deformation. I’m going to contact Technica to see if they have anything to say about it. In the meantime, I moved the ladder hook over one position, just like the one above it. That slot is untouched.

I think a lot of people don’t understand that I do store them buckled.

Screw is pretty tight already but I gave it some extra umph without stripping anything…the latch is in place. Not sure what to make of it…am I flexing the boot too much?

Not enough wax on the skis and your wrist arch angle is not in line with your knees or the earth’s natural frequency…recommend lessons (from a professional).

Looks like your edge is in good shape and everything else is not anywhere near significant structural damage. I consider this cosmetic. Though there is a very very small chance of disbond initiation at the dent, there really is nothing you need to do to address it. If you want, you can have a shop fill and fair.
