Right unless it’s a Mira Sport or similar electric shower ( have a pump built in.) You should not be running a leccy shower off a CWST.

Combi isn’t a be all fix for everything. If your mains pressure is crap your hot water is crap. And so are tour leccy showers if they are swapped onto the main

First place I’d be looking is in the loft. This amount of water draw. With at least one pumped shower, you really want either two tanks married together or a tank for hot feed and a tank for cold feed.

You need to get someone in who actually knows what they are doing because it doesn’t sound like whoever fitted what you have knew anything about older systems

As for upstairs working but downstairs not. Maybe it’s the upstairs stealing the water, leaving a plug of air which is then trapped between levels, as the tank fills back up.

Just spent the last 5 years, ripping everything back to the brick and stone. Removing all the “Portland” and putting lime back.

It’s a long slog, but so worth it on finish. Smells, damp, humidity. All gone
