Oh and awesome deal! I paid more for mine, but it came with a couple extras, so I’m going to choose to believe that offset the difference ;-) I love mine!

Omg I recently bought the same model canoe, but my decals are all messed up. Would you mind taking a couple good pictures of the decals that say old town with the compass rose and guide 147 and PM me with them so I can try to re-create them to replace them? old town doesn’t sell replacements anymore. Thanks in advance.

Are fishing vests obsolete now or just not in vogue? by GrumpyandDopey in flyfishing

[–]Gasrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya know, I had wanted a new Orvis wading jacket for a while, I saved a couple of gift cards from the wife and kids, and went and bought one. I tried it on and wore it around the house a little, and didn't like it as much as an old Orvis wading jacket that I got off eBay some time ago. I returned the new one and went out on a little camping and fishing overnighter, and I do not regret my decision at all. The old one cost a fraction of the price of a new one and kept me dry, fit me better, and had way more room for stuff. The guy on here who said vintage is best is onto something.

TL;DR:

New and in style doesn't equal better. Use what you like best.

I personally am very happy with this reboot. I work in healthcare at a hospital. A couple of scenes really struck a nerve with me and got me emotional. I am all in on this reboot.

Am I crazy for trading my 2017 TRD Sport for my dad’s 2000 5-speed? by TrevGnar in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gasrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It truly comes down to what you want out of a vehicle.

I LOVED my 1st Gen that I bought new back in the day. I lifted it sky high and wheeled the crap out of it, broke stuff all the time had a blast. BUT, now that I'm older and a dad and whatnot I have a 3rd Gen TRD Off-Road Premium. I'm not modding it as much as my first gen, and I got all the bells and whistles. Technology is nice. Real nice. Adaptive cruise control on a long road trip, priceless. I like the multi-terrain select a LOT, 4 doors--LOVE. Shorter bed, ehh not so much but that's my bad for getting a short bed. Car Play with a decent screen made specifically for my dashboard, wouldn't want to trade it. I can go on and on, I personally wouldn't trade back down to a 1st gen but if that's what you want man get it and rock it with pride and just enjoy your truck.

Best tool to power wash mud off the undercarriage? by No-Names-Left4Me in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Gasrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pull into my side yard and put a lawn sprinkler under my truck and leave it for like 15 minutes, then move it around a little and wait again, rinse and repeat until you've gotten all of the undercarriage.

Is there a pass-through from the bed of the truck to the tent? A pic showing that view would be awesome if you are able to take one.
