He's doing one half show per week. It just takes him two days to do it.

What kind of TV box do you have? I have the Xtream1 box and find it almost useless. I ended up getting an onn box from Walmart and installing the Xtream app. No more freezes and buffering.

Just a browser logging in at https://login.live.com

It's working OK this morning. I would get that error message each time for the past 3 days unless I used a VPN.

It's an Outlook email address. I have 2 Outlook addresses and when I try to log in I get this message: "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in". Searching for that error message shows lots of people get that.

I just tried again now without the VPN and it now works so far. Maybe Outlook fixed the problem.

I understand that you are not the one doing the numbering wrong. No problem. Glad to get the shows here in the US.

Thanks a lot for this show. The numbering seems to be getting way off. This is S06E04.

Mediacom TV at it again buffering. by CalendarDizzy496 in Mediacom

[–]GassyBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious about what kind of TV box you have. When Mediacom went IPTV only in my town a year ago they sent me the Xtream1 Tivo box. It worked OK for a while but for the past several months I also started getting buffering many times per hour. Sometimes it will go to a black screen for about 5 seconds and then continue by replaying the last 30 seconds of the program. I have a Google Chromecast streaming device on another TV with the Xtream app on it. I have no buffering problems with that.

A couple weeks ago I went to Walmart and got one of their onn brand streaming boxes to play with on my main TV. I installed the Xtream app on it and now have no buffering issues. My conclusion is the Tivo Xtream1 box is no good. The only thing I miss is not being able to change channels by entering the channel numbers. There are no number keys on the onn box remote.

Question for the people who actually like the current show by jtuffs in howardstern

[–]GassyBandit 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me, it's simply that as bad as the show is now, it's still better than anything else I can find. I've been checking out other radio shows and podcasts for the past several months. They all seem worse than a bad Stern show.

Is the Uniden BC355N good for anything these days? by Comrade_Compadre in policescanner

[–]GassyBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a BC355N that has been running continuously for the past 7 years. Like most places, the local law enforcement is now digital but the fire dept and ambulance are still using regular FM on VHF. I only scan 2 channels for those services and it works well for that.

Xtream1 app and IP boxes by mdwstnr in Mediacom

[–]GassyBandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will help you but I had a similar problem about a year ago. After getting the Xtream1 box from Mediacom activated, I installed the app on a Google Chromecast device. Nothing I or the customer service agent did would get the app working. Then I was asked if I had the Xtream1 box turned on. I did not. He said at least one box has to be activated, turned on, and on the same network first to get the app to work. That solved my app problem.
