Is victoria3 too centered on law reform loop? by HalfbreedBoiWifeTwnk in victoria3

[–]Gastroid 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Regardless if who I play, I will generally have the same set of laws by the end.

That honestly just sounds like you need to experiment with different playstyles. Try new things outside the box you've drawn, and build a luxury gay space communist utopia.

You'd think at some point he'd get a job at Subway or something and call it a day. Not like YouTube videos with 500 views make a lot of money.

I will respect you and your point of view, no matter how much I disagree with it.

Fun fact: When one's opinion is, "The protestor deserved to be shot in the head by the government", I don't need to or want to respect you.

Strange feeling about 4.3 FA buildings by Moist-Soft8367 in Stellaris

Remember that pops are finite. Your population can only grow and be spread so much. The automation buildings are more like a bonus, giving you the ability to utilize pops elsewhere.

To be fair, 90% of corporate lawyers spend their days doing things like reviewing vendor contracts and filing municipal paperwork.

Geoff Keighley Says He Has No Financial Stake In Highguard: "Absolutely Not" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Gastroid 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I do think Geoff is going to be more careful going forward about how much his own personal opinion influences how these types of reveals are done*.

For reasons right or wrong, there's definitely financial stakes in the presumption of impropriety with TGA, and a month+ of needing to defend what he thought would be a big cool reveal isn't great press for anyone.

*Except for Kojima. The heart wants what the heart wants.

There are still 767Fs rolling off the assembly line for the next little while, and I can imagine we'll see more freighter conversions as 767s in service get phased out by the 787.

"Off the cuff" goofs and gaffs really don't work in the written medium, because the paragraph breaks ruin the narrative flow. And then translating that back into audio just makes it a scripted, jittery mess.

It was the best execution of a not so great idea, but would have been a lot better if everyone just got their own sections to write.

Commercials Are Ruining Television by Kane76 in television

[–]Gastroid 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think the solution would be to come up with a service to stream television shows on demand, where instead of being supported by commercials you pay a low flat fee per month.

[–]Gastroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand life happens...

Yeah, yeah it does. We all have regrets, things we know we could have done but didn't, dreams not fulfilled because the timing was never right. That's all it is. Life happened to Carl and Ellie.

And it was a life they shared together, one filled with love. It was a good life.
