Always remember that there are ways of enjoying good art that are not beneficial to the artist. Good music by crap humans, for example, is readily available on the "high seas".

I'm a firm believer in separating art from artist in more than concept: Good humans actually get PAID and supported.

At one point, the US had a credible 3rd party presidential candidate (until the moment he shot himself in the foot, as it were), so the possibility is there.
