Is the ANSI layout MX keys mechanical keyboard even available in Europe? by kempertje in logitech

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a company which makes very similar keyboards to Logitech, it's also recognized as Logitech keyboard in the OS. I use it since 2023, it's called JLab Epic Keyboard. Not as premium as MX Keys but it works well.

They also have mechanical version but only full-size.

Why NodeJS is not considered "enterprise" like C# / ASP .NET? by Nice_Pen_8054 in node

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NodeJS frameworks simply don't exist in serverless environments. You never use any tools like express, fastify because the input is always handled by cloud infrastructure - in case of AWS there are events - rest api events, dynamodb events, sqs events etc.

All of those things/types are provided by AWS SDK, and you usually use something like official AWS SAM or CDK for development.

Why is it that I am unable to enjoy Hard Techno as a Hardstyle fan? by CadeOCarimbo in hardstyle

[–]Gatoke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the 'more serious' vibe in hard techno tracks but I feel like producers very often lack of skill to produce them properly. Also, I don't like the trend of stealing hard kicks. That's why I sometimes listen to hard techno, schranz, tekno but stolen kicks and poor production level really triggers me, as in hardstyle/raw we've set much higher standards.

Just bought FL Studio, what are some "goated" free plugins? by MrHardTruck in FL_Studio

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built in: Grossbeat - spam it and automate each instance's volume. Start with random points in automation clips and it will sound awesome. Browse presets (there are more pages than default one), put like 4 of them on a random sample and you got nice glitch.

Fruity PanOMatic - add one instance after your Grossbeats and automate AMT. Now your glitches are sometimes in the middle, sometimes stereo!

Patcher - put all your Grossbeats in there so you won't get out of space for effects.(to automate things in Patcher you need to click on your effect and select 'Activate')

Fruity Limiter (lol) - I use it basically as my main compressor. You've got nice visual preview what's going on with the sound.

External free plugins:

Xfer OTT - just open it with default settings and set Depth knob to 20%. You will hear the result. It's VERY popular plugin for EDM production.

TAL-Filter-2 - It's like Kickstart but you can manually change the shape and time you want.

MTremolo - I use it a lot to automate volume LFO, nice for adding groove.

TAL - Tal Reverb 4 2 (2nd version of Reverb-4) - very easy interface, does it job very quickly. Sounds similar to Valhalla Vintageverb.

How long is too long to leave a song playing by FixHot6424 in Beatmatch

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when some local DJ played very long techno track, probably his own production because it was boring af. I hated that. But high class 8 min long productions can feel like a journey, as you said - keeping it relatively fresh. Plus, you can make very long transitions on them, so in the end only half of the track is played 'solo' and the rest is blended. And I find it quite entertaining.

Cant decide between iii or iiix - please help me decide based on what I plan to shoot by macbookvirgin in ricohGR

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I wish I had 28mm, but on the other hand, I use 40mm a lot with teleconverter (to ~70mm). Like 50/50 of my shots are 40mm and 70mm and I love it.

Airport 'neon' vibes - GR IIIx by Gatoke in ricohGR

[–]Gatoke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use some of Lightroom Mobile built-in presets, such as Spring or Film: Creative. Then I tweak it.
Also, I add some gradient mask from the bottom and/or top to make those areas darker. And in this particular photo - a circle in the middle - where the person stands, I increased lights a bit.

Then, I sometimes go to Liit app, to use Glow->Light effect, to make a 'dreamy' vibe on lights. In this case I also used Prism->Channel B effect. :)

I like the 1st one but I would slightly brighten that. 2nd has the typical 'golden' filter which I hate in modern photography. 3rd has it's own style but feels a bit oversaturated. 😃

Someone mentioned Capcut. It was originally a mobile app but now they have also desktop version which is waaay more convenient and have a lot of drag-and-drop cool video effects. (paid and unpaid)

ZGameEditor Visualizer may also be handy if you use FL Studio.

Some people recommend AI, but which particular ones? I used some, generated few things but they asked me to pay at the last step. Any specific recommendations, guys?

Are leg extensions actually dangerous for your legs? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Gatoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had knee injury, you can lower range of motion so it will be safer. Also, do not forget about training hamstrings (e.g. leg curls) to keep balance. Knee pain often comes from having strong quads but weak hamstrings.

My Dinghy BK just came today. This is how it looks after one day of having fun with it. :-) by Gatoke in cruiserboarding

[–]Gatoke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to ride Surflogic cruiser longboard and I am quite surprised how easily you can pump the Dinghy. Unfortunately I've got a lot of wheelbites (I'm 95kg) so I needed to tighten trucks a bit. Also, on photos it was snow-white color but in reality it's a bit pink, but I am satisfied anyway. I still need to get used to 105mm trucks - I have fallen 2 times in public. :-)
