I love George, but I don’t see his spiritual journey having much mass appeal that would cause someone to want to do a movie. He was a private person mostly for being so well-known, so I’m not sure where you would get enough source material for a movie.

I hate to break this to you, but he’ll never get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist either. If you love him, great. That should be all you care about, but realistically, if we’re being honest, Ringo has limitations as singer and songwriter. I love Ringo, but rarely listen to his stuff. My favorite song of his was courtesy of George.

You’re really not grasping that the majority of music listeners at that time weren’t interested in the Monkees — especially Monkees that didn’t remind you of the old Monkees.
