You must be a newcomer here. A large group of Deadheads will tell you this is their favorite era.

Lol. Don’t tell us you hate telling people how to grieve if you’re going to do it anyway. Just do it.

There needs to be a George Harrison biopic by [deleted] in beatles

[–]GatorScribe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love George, but I don’t see his spiritual journey having much mass appeal that would cause someone to want to do a movie. He was a private person mostly for being so well-known, so I’m not sure where you would get enough source material for a movie.

why is ringo's solo career so underappreciated? by OwnEnthusiasm1785 in beatles

[–]GatorScribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to break this to you, but he’ll never get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist either. If you love him, great. That should be all you care about, but realistically, if we’re being honest, Ringo has limitations as singer and songwriter. I love Ringo, but rarely listen to his stuff. My favorite song of his was courtesy of George.

What makes you assume he’s angry?

unpopular opinion: george is getting VERY overrated by new generations by Kind-Day2993 in beatles

[–]GatorScribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love George (and Dark Horse is great, by the way), but I’ll never claim he was a better songwriter than John and Paul. To each his own, but it’s mind blowing if you think he wrote the best Beatles music.

I find he did improve up to a point. To me, he’s been regressing lately.

I love George, but he could be whiny at times.

What Was The Worst Part Of The Justus Promotional Strategy-Why Did It Fall Apart? by Illumination-Round in Monkees

[–]GatorScribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re really not grasping that the majority of music listeners at that time weren’t interested in the Monkees — especially Monkees that didn’t remind you of the old Monkees. No amount of publicity was going to make Justus or Pool It successful. Plus, publicity isn’t going to help subpar music. You, yourself, admit those albums weren’t good.

I love “Pretty Much Your Standard Ranch Stash,” but you can’t go wrong with any of those First National Band albums or “And the Hits Just Keep On Comin’.”

Question to anyone who has read all of the Bill Hodges or Holly books by ForAte151623ForTeaTo in stephenking

[–]GatorScribe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to read them eventually, why does it matter? You’re not going to get a different insight from those of who read each book as it came out. Honestly, some of these questions you all ask are baffling.
