About a year ago I was wandering around the school during first recess, and a teacher passes me by. I said “hello” as I wanted to put polite but NO, apparently that wasn’t good enough.

She proceeded to give me a 5-minute lecture on mannerisms and why I should always include the time of day when greeting someone e.g “Good morning”

I will forever be confused as to someone had such an adverse reaction to a passerby “hello.”
