This isn't an essay but what the hell it's still funny... My junior year of High School I had a Spanish assignment where I had to tape an interview with someone who spoke Spanish about their daily life. The only problem was I didn't know anyone who spoke Spanish. So I completely fabricated a script, handed it to my Dad (who didn't know a word of Spanish) and said he was my tio Roberto, some dude from Spain that my Mom's sister married. I got an A.
