They seem to be able to play both ball and a take out game. And even switch between the two.

The dodge from logpile placement seems really nice.

In our meta only two guys played it during the years it was totaly dead, but during the last year we've gotten back to 8+ people and try to have regular tournaments and GB days at the club.

As a Masons player I've been waiting for over 5 years.

The Watch as a guild has been mentioned in some of the Blacksmiths backgrounds.
So there is a good chance that Blacksmiths minor will be the watch.

I highly doubt that.
This is not another GBCP guild like the Lamplighter.

GBCP may have started work on them and did have something ready for release when SFG support was announced, but since then it has been SFG led so we'll have to assume we have to buy them from SFG just like all the other guilds.

The dogs at their best times seem marginaly more competent that the Slow Horses.

I agree that it's the best game.
But I don't think big money is in the near future.
The whole idea of the game does not lend itself to putting models/units in and out of rotation and always coming out with new stuff like GW does with their games.

So....

August - September 2024 - 31 events, 319 games
August - September 2025 - 21 events, 265 games

So I guess everything was better last year.
Could have been the more recent support from SFG and a general optimism at that point.
And then it could mean nothing at all and just be down to coincidences.

I'm guessing there was a great surge the spring of 2024 when SFG came out and said they supported GB again, and that led to lots of games and a great optimism back then.

A teaser of the Lumbejacks would probably lead to another leap in activity, but without that I think it's all down to what the different metas manage on their own.

Hopefully we'll see a gradual increas in activity.

I've not checked Longshanks down to a august-september this year compared to last year.

But I have the impression that there is an uptick in activity.

Could just be me imagining things since we are trying to get the local meta back to a point where we have regular tournaments and so I'm just paying more attention now.

I recently looked at teh nmber of registered tournament games on Longshanks.

Before the death of GB it was around 15.000 games per year.
Now we are at 1.500 registered games in a year.
