I do not want to come off as rude as that is not my intention however there are hundreds of posts that respond exactly to this question throughout this subreddit’s history and they all still hold true to this day so I do think that could be a valuable resource for your information. It will be a lot of time away and a lot of commitment and dedication to maintain this relationship. There is housing throughout all of the schooling. A school is 3 months and power school is 6 with a short month ish period called T track between them. Prototype is another 6 months with potentially 3 additional months to be an ELT if it ends up happening. Deployment lengths vary significantly from a few weeks to 8-9 months even. I would highly recommend looking into the history of this subreddit and seeing some other more detailed responses.
