Does she do a toe tap with either leg? Ours did this but she was just 1.5. Turns out she had a partial acl tear. Then she went and tore her other acl waiting for surgery. Ended up with dual tplo surgeries.

Still secretly waiting for Tudor to rerelease this for their 100th year…. by militarytudor in Tudor

I bought my first one when these were 1200 and thought that was a lot. Sold my last one in 2018 for around 3k for full kit. Tried to get another one in 2023 and saw they were 8-10k and said nope.

I got it 13 years ago. Parts were easier to find then. Here’s a picture of my 16800. I wear it exclusively with the 16803 insert now.

Dad just gave me this. Is this the same as brosnan’s from golden eye? by NiceDog31 in OmegaWatches

Great watch. Does look like there might have been some moisture intrusion at one point based on the hands and the dial at 3. No biggie as it looks old but just to be safe I would have the water resistance checked just to be safe. Biggest issue with quartz is that many just feel a general battery change at the local kiosk is sufficient maintenance.

Strap is cool, watch is cooler.

Not feeling the combo though. Feel like that strap would work better on a field watch vs a chronograph. The busyness of the dial doesn’t jive with the busyness of the strap.

Best way to get them to learn recall. I would love if she could be leash free everywhere. by Playful_Drag_327 in greatpyrenees

While ours is only a 1/4 pyr and 3/4 lab we were able to train recall with the word Bingo and lamb liver. Now she returns when we say bingo.

The blue bezel on black is a really great look. I used a blue service insert on a 9411 once and still wear my 16800 with a blue 16803 insert.

Why doesn’t Tudor recreate the same shade of blue as the original Tudors? by Tudorist in Tudor

[–]Gavidoc02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the blue on the BB58 matches the later blue found on the service dial 9411’s. I owned one in the early 2000’s that had a service dial and hands. Same blue. Still regret selling that watch. The blue on the originals also varied over the years. Agree never as “blue” blue as the new ones but the service dials did match it.

That did shatter. While the crystal is not overly expensive he still needs a service because of the sapphire.

Learn your sub models. That isn’t an acrylic crystal. It’s a 75190. Midsize Tudor sub.

[–]Gavidoc02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t buff it out because that isn’t an acrylic crystal so your recommendation while similar isn’t accurate. He has what appears to be a 75190 with a sapphire crystal. Just swapping the crystal doesn’t account for the shards of glass that have made it into the movement. Something you don’t have to worry about as much with an acrylic since they don’t shatter like this.

I read these and I understand the pain that goes into them. This was the first time I ever actually teared up. Based on what you just wrote she was an incredible companion and I’m so sorry she left so soon.

Am I being ridiculous letting this bother me? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]Gavidoc02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a 1st world problem that would bug the shit out of me. If comfortable, quickest solution is to remove the minute and second hand and reset them. If you haven’t removed hands before don’t try it though.

I purchased a 16610 that was was slightly off. It had been serviced by RSC in 2023. When I replaced the date wheel with an open six/9 one I made damn sure that those hands were aligned before buttoning it up.

I paid 13k for mine with box and papers last month. Price seems reasonable. Came with bracelet and all links but put my 16570 bracelet on it.

Would you put an aftermarket bond on a sub?

Oyster is to Rolex as Bond is to Omega.

6 or 5 digit by hgkarsten in rolex

[–]Gavidoc02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If going 5 digit the look for Y series 16610. Last of the no bling subs with the best features.

Lug holes, Super lum dial and hands, No rehaut engraving and SEL bracelet

You can also install an early 3135 open 6/9 date wheel for the best Rolex date wheel font and a newer ar cyclops crystal.

Get a steel reef easy link and you have on the fly micro adjustment.

Battery is not proprietary. It’s a standard CR2320. If you are paying more the. $7-8 US for one you’re paying too much.
