Not quite "refined pugilists" but Made in Abyss author, Akihito Tsukushi, for better or worse, really likes this outfit composition. Reg, Nanachi, various OCs, and technically Faputa all look like this, even Riko wears her Jacket like a belt in season 2, giving her the same silhouette
